Birkdale North School

This 'school' is shockingly terrible. My son has been going to this place for two years to learn violin and has received nothing but abuse from the so-called instructors to the point that he is terrified of ever going back. My son would regularly be humiliated and picked on by the instructor in front of the whole class, even when I was watching from the back of the class. He would also be kicked out of the class and made to teach himself how to play violin, not for doing anything wrong but because according to the instructor and I quote The other students are on a more advance level and I want to teach them separately." Even though I paid for a full teaching session my son would only get 15-20 mins actual teaching. I'm not sure if you know how a school works but I don't pay you for my son to teach himself

My daughter goes there to the French bilingual unit and loves it! Such great teachers, fantastic learning environment and lovely community. Can't recommend it highly enough!

This is a well organized music school for school kids learning all sorts of instruments on every Saturday morning. Teachers are friendly and caring. Definitely a good place for your young one to start their music learning at reasonable price.

Great school! Awesome billingual system for french and very kind staff and teacher.My daughter is signed up for french she learnt it in only 6 months!Teachers are so knowledgeable and kind. :))

This school is very friendly, I have 3 children learning music here and each of their teachers is lovely and really committed to helping my children enjoy music. It is very affordable with instruments you can hire as well.

School has broad international view on education, sees value in and supports bilingual learning, including French and Maori.A place to go if you want your kids to be international citizen, more empathetic and more open minded to other ethnicities and cultures.Like without trades among countries there will be world war, ignoring another cultural heritages risks the stability of the society in long term. The multicultural learning environment is priceless at this school. I reckon if the kids after graduation can't find an intermediate multicultural place to go, consider expand to include intermediate.

Their French-English bilingual programme is amazing. Wonderful school with big playing fields and a swimming pool. No zoning too!
