Compact open area 5 min walk from great swimming spot in river. Met by NZMCA member acting as a host for DOC. He was very informative about the area.

Lovely scenery. Miserable place when it's wet and rainy. There is a nearby stream that kids love hanging out at surrounded by luscious bush. Not recommended during adverse weather or holiday times. Can become really noisy. Cold showers and non flushable toilets. Good value for tarrif paid.

A great little spot for a camp. Good facilities, toilets and undercover bench.The river is an excellent place on a hot day for a quick dip.

standard doc camp for 8$, big grass area for around 20 vehicles if everyone uses some common sense. has a clean river in walking distance and lots of rabbits hopping around all the time. clean toilets that are sprayed with some lime scent so all you smell is lime. shelter with sink for cooking, some benches and tables and a little faucet for your feet. the faucets dont have a lot of pressure though. some areas of the grass might be muddy.
