Denise Walker Dance Academy

Denise Walker dance academy is a wonderful supportive environment for dance. Both our girls love dancing and are very committed to Denise as she really shows her passion for dance. Couldn't recommend Denise Walker dance academy enough. Love it.

Denise has been teaching my four year old in the preschool class for a year. She is amazing with the little ones too, keeping it fun, whilst carefully choreographed steps prepare them for next year when slightly more formal ballet lessons begin. :)

My daughter has started dancing this term with Denise at her Waikanae Studio. After many years of feeling too shy to take classes, Denise has embraced my daughter in a safe, caring environment. I am absolutely thrilled that she LOVES going to class and I can see her confidence and self esteem growing each week!

Denise is a great dance teacher, my son loves her class. Denise is calm & very respectful to all. Denise has a wonderful way with the children and an incredible eye for detail which shows in the polished performance of her dancers. Denise is very organised including her end of year production which is highly organised & calm front & back of house.

Denise has been teaching my daughter for a number of years. When we moved dance schools we were so impressed with the technical knowledge and the way she explained things. My daughter improved amazingly and continues to grow into a confident, skilled dancer. Denise's calm, caring style keeps classes enjoyable and yet she has continued to push my daughter to improve her technique and performance skills. Productions are wonderfully polished and I've never before been involved with such a calm production environment. Denise Walker Dance Academy has been an awesome place to love to dance.

Denise was recommended to me by a friend as the best ballet teacher on the Kapiti Coast and she's certainly living up to this reputation. She is fully qualified for a start (not all dance teachers are), has years of experience behind her, has a strong focus on correct technique and injury prevention, as well as having a kind and relatable nature. Everything you could ask for and more!
