Horizon Radiology - New Lynn

It was my partner and I (first baby) 12 week baby scan which we were so excited to see our baby!! The lady appears to have a European accent?) who does the scans was so rude. She was un welcoming, her procedure appeared very scripted, she was uninterested and I felt like crying when I left the clinic. She rushed over baby’s heart beat, and didn’t pause for us to see our baby. There was no one else in the waiting room and it felt like she didn’t care at all. As soon as Iay in the chair, with a proper N95 mask on, she refused to start the scan until i was wearing it correctly (although I’m certain I was and had pinched the top over my nose as best as I could) all because my glasses had a fog which meant it wasn’t pinched tight enough? I was unable to concentrate through the procedure because I felt upset, angry and embarrassed. I do not recommend this place at all. She was also the same lady who I went to for my 8 week scan and I was in and out of the scan within 2 minutes, nothing explained to me at all. Will not and have no returned.

The young lady I had for my first scan was great! She explained everything to me during the scan which made the overall experience a good one

Worst service. The recptionist is rude, not helpful, was just 5 mins late and they cancel our appointment. We came all the way from papakura. Worst ever service and rude people. Not accomodating not helpful

The Horizon radiology is part of Tatara health clinic Centre. Located in a building just opposite to New Lynn Library and New Lynn train station.The staff is nice and friendly. Enough waiting room area.Liked the staff is very good and friendly

After reading the more recent reviews on this place I was very reserved about coming here but truthfully this place were wonderful!We booked in for our pregnancy's 20 week scan and was initially taken care of by a student sonographer Amy was lovely and kindly explaining everything she was doing for us. About halfway through Oxanna took over and was just as friendly and kind to us!We do apologize that we had our eyes covered while she introduced herself but we wanted the gender to be a surprise haha.They were lovely giving us fair warnings of any time they would potentially reveal the gender to us and were happy to fill out our little evenlope so that will tell us baby's gender down the track.The scan was free but we did request and pay for additional photos and videos which the team happily accommodated.These ladies were lovely and we had a wonderful experience. 10/10 would be happy to come back again!

Absolutely impossible to get through to staff. Tried to call and talk to a receptionist time and time again and never got through, leaving messages and emails also didn’t bring me any luck. In the end I gave up and booked with TRG Imaging instead who picked up the first time I rang and charge only $5 more for same service. Willing to pay the $5 to be able to have effective communication.

I went for my 33 week growth scan today. It was conducted by a male trainee and the lady supervisor came at the end of scan to supervise. The male who scanned appeared new to this profession and couldn’t show me the baby properly. Answer to any questions was just that “i will inform you at the end of the scan”. At the end of the scan when supervisor came, they didn’t utter a word. Left me with no clear answer about the baby’s growth.Seems that the supervisor lady was just doing experiments on my scan for giving training to the guy.

Just had a scan here and the lady who did it was so nice!!!! Loved our experience here will 100% be going back for all future scans, we were already excited but she made us even more excited with everything she was saying (not what we experienced at our first scan at a different place). We can’t remember her name but she was a very pretty lady with short black hair, thank you! :)

Good experience and Radiologist was really good. She also gave interpretation for what we were seeing so that we could understand. Free parking also available within the building for 2 hours.

Won't be going back for any other scans. As a health care professional myself i think connection is really important. I felt the enviroment was very unwelcoming. It's my first pregnancy, both mine and my partners first time going through this and our experience was cold.I was asked heaps of questions about my referral form. Which was quite uncomfortable, there was a a/n screen box ticked but it felt like i was being treated odd.
