Read mixed reviews for Geddes with the positive ones were really good, and the negative ones very negative. Checked a few and seems those negative ones didn't really understand the scope of the work required, as mechanical repairs do cost time and $. I had a corroded EU Trailer connection on a VW Ute that I wanted removed and direct wired to the std nz type plug. They gave a reasonable estimate, and had to cut back the loom to sound cable and resplice and replace the plug. They did a good job in a reasonable time fitting me in the last week before Xmas, and Price was good. Thanks Peter.

Brought my two vehicles to Peters workshop very happy with both analysis performed and report given was very thorough regardless of time. Probably hence to the many other vehicles qued for service. Which shows their reputation aligns to their trustworthy recognition.

This is the worst mechanic in NZ! I have used them unfortunately twice now and each time they’re dishonest, quickly to charge you for thin air and extremely rude services! First time they quoted me $2400 to fix my car. I decided to get a second opinion and low and behold they were over charging and the thing that they said was wrong wasn’t even at fault. But the forced me to pay their $300 inspection fee and held my car ransom till I pay it, let alone charge you a bogus fee for storing the car. The second time wasn’t me wanting them but my car ended up there. Needless to say again their explanation for what went wrong is far fetched and again a storage fee is charged. They’re unethical, rude and quite frankly highway robbers! Be aware do not use them at all costs.

Absolutely terrible and be warned. Did work and tried to charge for it that was never requested or approved. Then tried to overcharge on original quote. We have friends who have also had the same experience. These guys are ultimately rip off merchantsTook elsewhere and was told the faults Geddes found were ultimately false. Fixed at 1/3 of original price quoted says it all.

Worst experience at a mechanics that you could ever have and so disheartening. Didn’t even fix the issue and cost me an insane amount. Never once mentioned a price when going over and back in text messages and took advantage of the fact that I was new to cars. Do not go here.

Absolutely terrible. Called them to check if they could check my brake drums for sizing and thickness to ensure they would pass compliance. They said they could. Took money up front. I chased them up and they said that they didn't do that type of work.- Did absolutely nothing but didn't give my money back. Didn't even lift them back into my car when I collected the drums again. I will never use this company again.

First time to Geddes, even after reading some negative reviews which some I thought were over exaggerated. Anyway, old school az, repaired another workshops mistakes on a Saturday at short notice. Not super friendly but I didn't go there to make friends . Bit pricey but they checked and did alot of work to see me right in a short space of time. I'm happy.Cheers.

Cost was double estimate for front brake pads and rotors.Happy with job that was done.ADDITION TO THIS REVIEWBrake rotors developed the dreaded shudder after a very short period.Didn't contact Geddes at the time as we were out of town for two months and I wouldn't be doing the 10000 km cut off for warrantyRung this morning to be told that they weren't interested in any claim for repair.Won't be going back or recommend anybody else take their vehic!e here

These people are thieves in disguise. They are rude, can't communicate and do NOT give you anything for your hard earned money. I was charged over $400 for them to allegedly run a couple of computer diagnostic tests and tell me they still didn't know what the problem was with my electrics. They wanted me to leave the car overnight and incur even more costs. Avoid this firm at all costs.

These guys did an amazing job on my mazda 3 , bought in my own cat back pipe system from a speed 3, and upgraded from 1.25in to a 2.5in pipe system more power more louder and legal, fit was done on the day, job was roughly 400 for fitting and new rubber grommets.
