Amazing place to visit the views are incredible, try to visit at low tide as it is much more spectacular. Saw lots of sea lions and there arw fur seals at the far end of the beach in the rocks. Didn't see any penguins but there are signs of them, if you want to see them would recommend visiting dusk / dawn. Steep and sandy walk down so just be careful.

What a gem of a beach. Softest sand dunes and heaps of sea lions to admire from a distance. It’s a fairly steep descent from the carpark but go for it, it’s worth the effort. Gentle winds make it possible to sit and enjoy a picnic on the beach. You can even bring boards and do sand boarding down the slopes like the local kids do.

Great place to see sea lions and yellow eyed penguins if you’re lucky enough. But to see them you must keep the beach area clear otherwise they won’t come out of the sea until you have gone. They usually come up on the right end of of the beach, but if you are standing there they won’t come out of the surf. So please give them some room.

An absolute gem for wildlife! The beach itself is a spectacular to look at when looking from above - the viewpoint. If you decide to go down to the actual beach, it is a sandy path that can be steep at times. Be mindful of the time and season and keep penguin's habits in mind.Saw a ton of sea lions playing on the beach a, going in and out of water and snoozing. Respect the animals and their space as they are faster then many expect.

Beautiful place. You have to walk quite far to actually get to the beach. We didn’t have time to go to the actual beach unfortunately but would have loved to. Either way there is still a beautiful look out with information about seals etc and how to be considerate of them. We even saw a seal from very very far (cannot see in photo).

No need to pay to see seals and sea lions! Here, you just need to go down the beach and will see these marvelous animals closely enough. The tracks are easy to follow, well marked and maintained. It is a 15min drive from the city centre, good parking area. Please take your rubbish with you and keep your children attached to you at all times.

Really beautiful. If you are fit enough to walk down nearly 3 kms in a steep area, you can see group of sea lions there. Otherwise, there is another beach nearby there called Allen's beach just a few minutes walk from the car park. But you can see only 2 or 3 sea lions there most of the time.
