Wainuiomata Pharmacy & Lotto

This is the second time I've been to this pharmacy and felt like the way I've been spoken to has been condescending and it has annoyed me enough now that I felt it was worthwhile leaving a review.I asked for a product (ulcer treatment) and the women at the end of counter couldn't find it in stock. They asked the pharmacist and he said it had been discontinued and to use another product. I explained I had the other product but it worked best overnight which is why I was after the original product. I was then told to 'use the other product as it had a steriod in it'. I explained again that this was all well in good, but it didn't offer relief which was why I was after my specific product at which point I was told pointedly 'well its discontinued'. I then asked when it was discontinued (as I had seen the product online and thought maybe it still might be around) and was told 'I don't know, I've been so busy with covid.'Nothing the pharmacist said was incorrect (even though he couldn't understand why I was after my product over the one available, which I already did have and had used), however the way he spoke down to me made me feel like what I was asking for was stupid, and I was stupid for pushing for it, when it's my body and I'll use what I see is best for it. I've been before (several years ago) and came away feeling the same and only went today as I had tried our other two great pharmacies here in Wainui and so was left with this one. I wouldn't recommended it.

People sometimes make mistakes over the phone and it's really no reason to yell at them that they have wasted your time when the phonecall was only 4minutes and 11 seconds and then when I tried to apologize they hung up the phone. Not the way to conduct your business at all.

Very helpful people good products and very knowledgeable pharmacists.

Staff are super friendly and willing to help

Friendly, super helpful staff, great set up and once they were fully merged with the other chemist, very clean and inviting. I've always had a positive experience when I go there, which is great considering I'm usually sick lol!

Great customer service from Ron & the team at Wainuiomata Pharmacy. When the new supermarket opened, I was concerned about how our local pharmacies would survive the competition. I fully support local business like Wainuiomata Pharmacy who value their customers, know their products, maintain a positive attitude and are always willing to listen and help their customers.

Wainuiomata Pharmacy & Lotto we are very lucky as a community to have another pharmacy in our area with such great friendly staff to look after our community always very quick to fill a prescription and readily and professionally offer advice, thank you for being a great pharmacy.

An amazing pharmacy. The staff are all very knowledgeable and extremely helpful.

Never going back. I went in and was the only customer in there. There were 5 staff members working at the time. 3 were standing around talking about what to do with a display shelf and two chemists were filling prescriptions. I stood at the counter for what felt like 5 mins ( was probably only 2/3) but was not served either way. I stood there looking at the chemists who kept their heads down and looked at the other 3 who continued talking about the display shelves. I had my 5month old with me at the time- and yes they knew I was there. I ended up walking out. What terrible customer service. How hard is it for one of the 5 staff members to sort a customer out. No one even said “hi there, I will be with you in just a minute”. I am getting my partner to pick up my last repeat prescription and will be going elsewhere from now on.

Love coming here, Evan, Rob and the team are always so warm and inviting, incredibly efficient and they are excellent at explaining things. Wouldn't dream of going anywhere else, keep up the great work!
