This was such a fantastic experience! I saw the moon up close and was lucky enough to see Jupiter and Saturn (including her rings!). It will vary what you will see depending on the location of the earth but such an amazing experience. John is so knowledgable and told me so much about the universe. I will absolutely go again next time in in Gisborne. Would rate 6/5 Stars if possible.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Astro tour with John. He explained things in a simple and informative way so that the kids and adults alike enjoyed the evening. Definitely recommend this experience and would do it again. 10 out of 10.

Well we booked this experience but the clouds moved in and we could not do it in the time frame that we were staying in Gisborne to revisit it.So after talking with John we arranged to try again when we had to come back 5 weeks later to try again.. so we arrived back and contacted John and looked forward to experiencing the night sky and again it was pretty much touch and go and if it went ahead we would have been with another group of people that were well into a comprehensive multi week program far more learned than us.. So the call came.. Bang it's on the cloud could be still a bit still iffy but it looked promising.. So Al I will say is that not only did John keep all the others happy He truly went out of his way to make sure We saw the true beauty of the night sky.. Well worth it.. Just hope for a clear sky.

Really informative. John is passionate about this subject. Well worth the wait for the sky's to clear. I definitely recommend this.
