Oamaru Harbour Tourist Park

Quite good place for campervan. Facilities are a bit lacking in terms of quantity though. Found a few nesting penguins in the park and can hear penguins calling throughout the night. There is a great playground next to it for the kids to enjoy.

Well situated campsite and beautiful sunrise view by the harbour. The kitchen is clean, although there is only 2 stoves/sink. The playground is fun and great for kids. There is a Sunday farmers market, just few minutes away.

Lovely little motor home site right by the harbour and easy walk from the towns attractions of which there are many. Powered sites. Facilities are clean but there are only 2 toilets and 2 showers each for men and women. Unlimited WiFi all stay for just $2. Great children's play ground next door. When booking ask for a harbour view pitch.

This small camper park is very clean and has complete facilities. Unlike the previous camper park that we went at Lake Tekapo, the kitchen is equipped with pots,pans, cutlery etc. The bathroom is also very clean without any time limitation.The owner also has her small cafe just next to the reception area, just in case you feel too lazy to cook.The price is affordable and worth the money.Oh yes, we even spotted a blue penguin in this premise, taking a stroll late in the afternoon

Fabulous spot! Really close to Steampunk central and restaurants. Love the easy check in. Would definitely stay there again.

What an absolutely fabulous spot to stay. From the lovely friendly lady who comes to check you in, to the spotlessly clean facilities, the awesome view, close proximity to town and so many wonderful attractions, restaurants and cafes, to the little blue penguins who come home every night making such a racket. What a treat this place is. Nothing fancy but will definitely put this on my list of places to return to. Thankyou, we have so enjoyed it!

This campground is in the most perfect location: right on the harbor, next to a few breweries, a quaint and historic victorian shopping street and most notably, a beach where blue bottle penguins visit every night at dusk. However, the campground is nothing more than a parking lot with a few shrubs, there is no staff to greet you, services are non existent and it is hugely overpriced ($90 for a family of 5...likely capitalizing on the nearby penguin visitors and location). Would gladly pay more if service, staff and grounds were better. What's more, male owner/manager made a rude comment when we went to pay and barged into the ladies room (while I was using them) to clean without any warning or acknowledgement.
