Long bay is one of the worst colleges I have been to a lot of teachers don’t really care about your education and worry more about your uniform than anything classes aren’t interesting what so ever I really wish in the near future it will be an enjoyable place to be school should be fun and not feel like a job u have to do

It's an amazing school, and I think it may be one of the best high schools on the north island. Firstly, its NCEA pass rate is high as a PRIVATE SCHOOL. Secondly, it's in an amazing location. You feel like u are in the countryside from all the breathtaking views. Lastly, all the teachers at the school teach from heart, and it really shows how much they care for the students. In conclusion, it is an astonishing, high achieving school that I think is highly underrated.

I've been here for three years- It's a really good school with a great community if you want to get involved. There's plenty of groups to join and lots of friends to make.

My brother goes to your school, and I am absolutely disgusted at how much control you have over what students wear, my brother has come home from school crying because his very sentimental necklace has been taken off him. I think its is an abuse of power. You care more about your school reputation and what they choose to express them selves with rather then their education and wellbeing. I don’t understand how a white undershirt,black socks, non logo black shorts and lace tag on airf1 affect their study’s which is the whole reason they go to school. I have no faith in your schooling system and I know you have a 90% pass rate but that’s only cause you pay external services to give kids extra free credits. You are not helping these kids by doing that you are only making them resent school more which means they ditch more and do not pay attention to what they are being taught because it is not a fun environment and feels more like jail. You do not set them up for the future you just suppress them and feel like soldiers who have to oblige to every word and rule.

Unfortunately Long Bay College has for a long time had a bad reputation. I had hoped that had changed but was unfortunately dissapointed. There is not enough help given to the kids with learning difficulty or who have anxiety. They cater for the extreme high end learning difficulty kids at learning support but for a child with ADHD and dyslexia they are not offered a lot of help and if the child steps out of line it seems they are quick to be rid of them rather than looking into the problem carefully and trying to cater at all for their needs. Unfortunately plenty of promises with no follow through. If your child is doing great at school I'm sure LBC will cater wonderfully but if you are in the middle or not extreme needs then good luck to you. Beautiful location and many of the teachers seem great but too many kids to cater for and the 1 on 1 help is not possible.

Worst school and experience ever.. in all my years and my personal 16 schools I’ve never experienced such pettiness, they gang up on students, single them out and uniform are put way above education and preparing the students for the “real word” teachers that I’ve personally had communications with need re-educating themselves, they have forgotten the true values of learning, education and getting the students attention, lifting their personalities to bring out their best is “non existent” they concentrate more on the minorities and political correctness then working to prepare students for life, of course not all would agree but this is my experience and a few other students that I’m in close contact with, for the remaining i wish the students all the best but the school and its policies are less then disgraceful.

I walked Into the school and instead of going to class normally a student hit me in the head with a metal pipe and set me on fire. Not recommend
