CAFE BLUE WHALE
Started going to this great cafe while moving to the Coast. We have been back recently in level 3. I had a bacon and egg panini and a chicken and pesto one. Both were delicious. They are also savvy enough to use TOB coffee, who I think are the best coffee roasters on the Shore. It has been great watching your lovely baby grow too.

Genuinely impressed by the breakfast we received at this cafe on the side of a busy main road.It’s not often I leave a review at a cafe because eggs Benedict and a coffee is hard to get wrong. It’s also hard to get really right.This is an example of getting it right down to the matching drinks, perfectly cooked eggs, unobtrusive hollandaise sauce lending delicate flavour which is a great change from the rich, thick sauces on offer from most cafes.Coffee done well, not burnt, attentive staff who clearly paid attention to us to make sure we enjoyed our food.The potatoes were actually cooked very well, which to be honest was the biggest joy. What’s normally an afterthought in dishes ended up being a talking point.Prices are reasonable, and some dishes offer a “single” and a “double” portion to cater to all appetites.We will be coming back to make sure this wasn’t just a fluke, because if it’s not, this will be a regular affair.Thanks folks.Food: 10/10.Location/parking: 6/10 (loud street, but accessible).Coffee: 9/10.Staff: 10/10.

Have wanted to visit this place as seen all the amazing reviews so took the family out to breakfast. Staff was super friendly. Prices good. Coffee was very good but food was basic. I can only describe the food as supermarket bought options, standard tip-top bread toasted etc. would've loved to have a nice gourmet bread or even just sourdough. Hollandaise tasted like the jar stuff. Only other suggestion would be to have some background music, we were the only ones in there, music would've given it a bit of ambience. All the best, I only hope my review gives you some inspiration.

Lovely atmosphere, coffee was tasty and the service was really pleasant. Great place to have a peaceful coffee while my daughter was at Drama class.Although I did not eat any food their options were good and the smell of French toast was amazing.

Welcoming environment, easy access on Whangaparaoa Road, a great coffee shop always has the perfect atmosphere and ambience. The drinks and food were delicious and I really enjoyed it. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. There are plenty of parking lots available for both take away and eat-in customer.Every time you drink, you can get a stamp on your mileage card and get a free drink on the eighth.I had a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this café to others.

They do a delicious oat mocha! The cabinet food looked great but we were only looking for a coffee. The little whale designs on everything is so cute.
