Riverside Accommodation

WOW, Riverside accommodation is an absolute gem. We were welcomed as soon as we got out of the car, and greeted by the wonderful hostess Anita with one of the warmest smiles I've seen in a long time. A tour through the complex,and a little bit of local knowledge of the area and some great advice on places to go and see went a really long way. First impressions told us that we'd be back time and time again. It's clean, and very respectable, all you need is your clothes. The whole atmosphere was friendly and warm.It's situated in the heart of the Karangahake gorge. The views from the deck are picturesque at their finest.It is straight across the road from the main carpark to fantastic tracks that make this area so great. If your not into the walks, then kick back on the decks, in the spa, or even in the communal lounge and just relax and recharge your batteries.Thank you Anita for welcoming Mel and I into your home, it is an experience that we will never forget and intend on coming back, often. Hopefully next time we can spend some time playing 8ball with you guys. Till then take care and stay safe x

The facility is cleaned everyday. Kitchen bench is spotless. Can walk into the kitchen barefoot without worrying rubbish stuck to the feet. Toilet is odourless. Shower is free of mould (you know… you can’t bear the sight of green moulds when you are in the shower). Stylish combination of bed linen, very homey. The outdoor hot spa pool is available 24/7, best for a hot bath especially when it rains. Windows are sparkling clean. On sunny day, I can see from the windows the mountains nearby. Walking trails are just across the road. The 1km long tunnel lit by red lights is mystic. A good hostel to stay over on the weekend if you are travelling around Paeroa.

Probably the warmest stay at an accommodation me and my family ever had. Great location too and amazing price for the deluxe suite. The host is very informative/easy to communicate with and greeted us from the car.Highly recommend.

Stayed here a few times and will again.Nice quiet location, heaps of walking tracks and cycle tracks nearby. Plenty of places to explore. And only a short drive to town.

The rooms were great , the service was great,the location is great, definitely great view, lots of places to walk,very friendly staff, and the spa was very relaxing.

Two awesome nights here. Borrowed the bikes. Owner is awesome. Great business. Our family guest room was bigger than our house!

What an absolute gem! Warm & friendly feel & homely accommodation. Hosts were so welcoming & super helpful. This is a fabulous location for exploring everything the area has to offer. Will definately be back

Have driven through the Gorge a few times and over a long weekend chose to stay here to soak up the outdoors, the walks and beautiful scenery. Great accommodation during my stay, friendly hosts, a very communal feel, highly recommended!
