Sunglass Hut Dunedin Kiosk

Well... I made a balls up!Went past Sunglass Hut and decided to take a look on a whim. The staff member was very prompt in checking to see if I needed any assistance. I was pretty indecisive and tried on maybe 15 pairs of sunnies. The staff member was very patient and helpful in pointing out what each pair of sunglasses offered, such as good for driving, good for fishing, polarized etcAfter much umming and ahhing, I zeroed in on a pair that I liked, and the staff member gave them a clean up and put them in a bag ready for payment. This is where it gets a bit messy!I elected to pay via AfterPay and proceeded to set up the payment on my phone. Unfortunately, it had changed how it operates since the last time I used it, and I ended up paying in full with my Google Pay. It was quite frustrating for me but the staff member just set about orocessing the refund and we had another go.She had more knowledge on the issue than I did, and it was deemed to be a mistake on my part, I didn't swipe across to the AfterPay option in the Google Pay app. The staff member was super kind and helpful throughout the whole sale, I was a bit panicked when thought I'd blown the mortgage money!All worked out great, super happy with glasses, super happy with customer service. They have a wide range of options in the small kiosk which it handy. Would happily return to the store in future.

I was looking for a replacement pair of sunglasses as the ones I've had for many years and which I love were damaged. I was shown the current model which were stunningly perfect and a much less expensive sale option almost as beautiful. I bought the current model but really appreciated being shown the much less expensive option. That showed genuine customer care. Service from a knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff member who deserves a raise.

Terrible customer service. Staff more interested in surfing the Internet than serving customers. Gave them a second chance and returned a few days later, same issues. Staff not interested in helping or selling. Despite a great range we specifically chose to spend money elsewhere simply because these guys didn't deserve it.

I had a less than good experience at this place. Yesterday, 30th of December 2021, I visited the store to check a pair of Ray-Ban I found online with the intention to buy since I recently lost a pair. As I approached the lady at the counter nicely asked me to wait for a couple of minutes as she had to do something. I complied as a good thing to do. However after she was done, another customer had come and rather than attending to me she attended to them which was not a nice thing to do. So I walked away. Now I can give the benefit of the doubt if there is a reasonable explanation.
