To give a call to Dimitri after my car broke down was probably one of my best choices I ever made. No joke. He helped me not only with towing, but he also called a friend to diagnose my car's problem and helped me find a mechanic to fix it. I was literally one little step to book flight back home. All day I asked him who is he and why is he helping me. And you know what? All people in Total Recoveries are really nice. I even met Dimitri's lovely family. I'm just writing this for you to believe that I was really real stranger at first. But because of Dimitri's attitude they all became my friends. You know, if I would be reading this message, I wouldn't believe so much positivity. But because I'm writing it I can tell you one thing. I wasn't only towed. I met amazing people. I experienced lovely attitude. And I didn't buy flight ticket home. So, Dimitri. Once again - thank you many times! You truly were some kind of miracle to me. Camping in NZ with a rented van, the vehicle broke down with serious damage (turned out to be the cam shaft belt). After contacting our company and NZ Roadside Assistance, we sat waiting by the roadside. It wasn't long before Dimitrios Zaloumis came to our rescue. We're Canadian, so we're used to friendly helpful people. But Dimitrios set a new high standard! He picked up our beyond-repair vehicle and transported us to a campsite in nearby Kerikeri (a site that had already been secured for us by some cohort of guardian angels). What could've been a really bad experience was made so much better by the level of professionalism. Thank you Total Recoveries and NZRA!

Dimitri was our lifesaver! We got stuck in our camper bus at the BP in Kerikeri. No one could help us, we actually ended up spending the night at the gas pump with our two children. I found Dimitri's number on Google and gave him a call as no other tow companies could come to our aid, Dimitri came first thing in the morning in his own truck and literally jumpstarted us within minutes. He then rang up the best local auto electrician and got us seen to straight away to fix our bus. No one else was able to help us the way he did, not only did he get our bus sorted he put our minds at ease with his awesome kiwi spirit and attitude.Honestly if you are stuck give him a call he will help you no matter what. Top kiwi bloke! A++++++++

What amazing service I received when my van unexpectedly broke down at haruru falls along way from my place in onerahi whangarei, I phoned vtnz who contacted the towing company ,driver Dimitrios arrived 20 minutes later, he was very pleasant to talk to and our trip to onerahi was enjoyable and he displayed professionalism all the way , I would highly recommend total recoveries and wish them all the best for the future even though I had to part with dollars I felt relieved to be in good hands and safely home many thank yous ! Our Queen's Birthday plans took a sudden turn when our car hit gravel and skidded off the road. Dimitrios was on the scene within half an hour. He immediately put us at ease, took the time to make sure we were all OK, and was extremely compassionate. He managed to successfully tow our car onto his truck, despite the car being lodged sideways in a riverbed off the road. As well as the significant amount of technical expertise Dimitrios clearly has, he was extremely kind and generous to us at a stressful time. He gave us a ride back to Kerikeri and helped us sort out accomodation for the night. Dimitrios' skill and attitude turned what could have been a terrible experience into something that was almost positive. I called total recoveries after my car broke down, they came and collected it that very day and took it to the garage. It was no hassle at all for me and Dimitri was very friendly. A few days later the garage calls and says my car can’t be fixed and it needs to leave the garage. I called total recoveries and again dimitri was there to tow my car, he had his mechanic friend take a look at my car before we scrapped it and turns out it was something simple to fix, they saved me from being ripped off! Honestly such an amazing company. Honest and genuine and will do everything they can to help you, they didn’t rip me off or charge me lots, please call them if you’re in trouble as they’re great, thankyou so much.
