Olaf's Artisan Bakery Cafe
Had the eggs benedict with spinach from the menu. Very nice food presentation but unfortunately taste was quite average (had to put on heaps of salt) and portion was rather small for the price which was a bit disappointing. Flat White (with Coffee Supreme) was delicious though, and service was friendly and quick.Also had the rosemary scone and the fig and fennel bread takeaway. Both were super yum.

Busy spot on a Saturday morning but worth the effort. Service was good and we didn't have to wait long for our meals or coffee. Bit of a diy assembly job for the smelt bagel but that's no biggie. Our group of four were all pleased with meals.

Olaf's Artisan Bakery Cafe
Went in for some poached eggs and iced chocolate while my brother had the gourmet breakfast and iced mocha with shared duck fat wedges. Both meals were delicious and served within a good amount of time. The staff were beyond friendly and very helpful and sweet! I was not quite a fan of the cinnamon in the iced chocolate but it was still enjoyable. Both breakfasts were delightful! We will definitely be coming back here to try the other items on the menu and maybe some cabinet food! Great place to eat and relax :-)

Olaf's Artisan Bakery Cafe is a solid choice for a quick and tasty meal. Overall the food was good, although the portions were on the smaller side for the price. As a bakery, I was also a bit disappointed that the meals didn't include more bread. However, these minor issues were easily overlooked due to the overall high quality of the meal. I tried the Gourmet Breakfast and paired it with an oat flat white, both of which were very tasty. The oat flat white, in particular, was creamy and smooth. While Olaf's may not offer the best value for money, the quality of the food and drinks more than make up for it. I would definitely recommend giving this bakery cafe a try and look forward to returning in the future.

Really unfortunate experience, the staff looks overworked and under allot of stress. I wait 25 minutes for cabinet food, they need to have a better system. Food is average and the sad part is the feta scone. ( for 7 dollars they can put more feta on it) .

We went to get coffee and breakfast last Sunday morning here and ended up waiting for one hour for the food (one mushroom toast). I understood they were busy around brunch time on a Sunday but one hour of waiting is something very unusual. I did ask the staff twice about the food after 30 then again 45 mins of waiting and they kept saying it is being cooked and put on a plate??? There were people who arrived after me that got served food during my wait and some of them even finished their food while I was still waiting. After one hour I had to tell them I’ll have to cancel the order because I’ve got somewhere to be. The staff then apologized and brought the food out 5 mins after. The bread was somehow very soggy and I had to rush through just so I could finish and go to the next appointment. Even though they gave me 50% off the food at checkout, that wasn’t an experience I expected to go through. Very disappointing really!

Olafs used to be good. I just paid $27.90 for two danishes and two “regular size” flat whites. The cups are kids size (I added a lighter in photo for reference). Never, ever again.

Olaf's Artisan Bakery Cafe
Place with relaxing vibe. Employees seem to enjoy being part of place even though it is pretty busy often. Tasty patisserie and bread. Very nice coffee. All in easy going decorative ambience. It is great starting or finishing point for Mt Eden hill with beautiful views over Auckland.
