Oxford Butchery

Great butchery, had a beast cut up again via Shane great cuts done as requested and awesome old fashioned beef sausages made up .Awesome sausages A+ and great beef hung long enough to be really tender. Great job and excellent guys to deal with. As we are old Butchers kids we know good meat and how it's done!

Had a cow processed. Original impression? Not processed according to instructions. 2nd impression? showed signs of discoloring and tasting a bit metallic. Shane's advice was to 'wash it'. Still only fit for dog tucker, cats even turned their noses up.

Not many country butcher shops left. This one is a gem. Brown paper parcels tied up with string....locally sourced meat, super friendly staff and one of them is an awesome singer!!!! Even make their own dog rolls.

We had half a cow processed here. They only take fax orders (not e-mail orders,,, get with the times) or by phone. We don't have a fax so rung it through by phone, specially asking for the spare ribs and not too much mince (prefer sausages). We were then told they had processed the wrong cow (what) so we got another one which cost more??? When we got it were were very surprised about what we got, we got mainly mince and no spare ribs. Rang to take to Shane, the boss, we were told to ring back. Rung back and we were told, the guy on the phone did not write it down so you miss out" That is not customer service. Never again..... We usually go to Cattermoles in Kaiapoi
