Penny's Drop Inn

An employee stayed here for work this week, we prepaid 3 nights but only stayed 1 due to unsatisfactory conditions which included hygiene, Poo was on the floor in showers. Customer service was extremely poor and only refunded 1 night back.Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't stay again

This place is a hidden treasure! It's newly built and is kept extremely clean and tidy. A lot of thought has gone in to providing everything guests could need, with modern kitchen appliances and a cozy TV lounge. It's beautifully warm and situated close to Cromwell. The absolute highlight has to be Des, the host, who is so welcoming and accommodating, regularly checking everything is well and keeping the fire roaring for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay- Anna and Amy

Stayed here whilst tramping down south. An awesome place to stay just a few mins drive from Cromwell...only 12 months old and still in as new condition. Clean and tidy with comfy beds, great room options (dorms, twin share, or king). Excellent facilities, toilets, showers and an amazing kitchen/dining area. Genuinely lovely friendly hosts too. Would definitely stay here again.

Highlights for me were: friendly welcome from hosts and impeccably behaved dogs. Tour and explanation of facilities. Free wifi. Large, very well equipped kitchen with area for dinning and comfortable enclave for lounging and watching tv. Fridge, freezer, shelves with individual baskets to keep dry goods. Convenient laundry and optional outside drying line. Toilets and showers with every convenience. Comfortable rooms, linen and towels supplied. Outdoor living area and attractive grounds being developed. Camping has been my previous experience in near 80yrs living, so I'm new to motel/backpacker accomodation, this was the best so far 2/3 through a 3 week + trip. A standard setting facility.

Lovely host Des and Lynlea were. They definitely made us feel welcomed.Accommodation is a well thought of building, built like a military grade bunker or of commercial grade specs which is mainly seen in hotels of such, with all the home comforts which most new homes won't have.Extremely quiet for where it's located, a real gem.Beds were comfortable and the bedrooms warm without heaters on(late September stay).Highly recommended for all.Young, family, or seniors.And will definitely stay there again!!!!

Ok accom , room ok for night , layout could be better, shower area in morning dirty , toilets ok ish , nothing around so take food and drink .

Really lovely hostel - big kitchen area and really clean! Comfy beds and really welcoming owner (and adorable dogs!)

We had a great stay. Lovely bedroom, communal areas are big and well kept. The owners had 3 gorgeous doggies too which just made it all the better. Thanks guys!
