Had a carpet on top of the 2 wheel trailer and charged extra $21 on top of$70 for being a little too high. Thought the man at the charge station on sunday afternoon too eager to charge more, he made an eye judgement that to me seamed pathetic.

It's a great tip but if you live near them and you have cats, if they ever go missing that's the first place to go. They kill cats without checking the micro chips then have them in a freezer for a period of time before they discard them. They do this as they believe cats are a pest and so if caught they will be killed. They are separate to any SPCA or animal shelter organisation or the city council animal services. But that being said and set aside, it is still a great tip.

We use to come to this tip to dump our garden rubbish, but the Council have astronomically increased how much they charge for the service. It is very well maintained and a treat when the native bird, the Pukeko is up and about.

The staff are rude except Tony hes lovely .all the others are extremely rude especially the grumpy one with the cap, I'm a dealer which I pay tax on all the things I sell not sure if hes jealous of me making a success of my life or just plain rude I'm sick of the way I'm treated I wont be buying here again the treatment is not worth it. It's odd because my purchases are keeping him in a job obviously this guy dousnt think the customer is important . I wont spend another cent here again. Good luck, Tony is your only decent staff member left

Found a pack of eco heaters still in box that would have been perfect, bought to where you pay and the manager" said she can't sell them as they hadn't been tested. I accepted that

I wonder if folks realise that the recycling shop is not operated by council but by third party contractors.Criticism may be better directed at contractors management team.

Prices have surged up and in most cases are dearer than other Op shops. Seems to be fewer people using them than when they were quite cheap and as a consequence had more stock and variety as it sold. However every so often one does find a great deal.

Friendly staff member (with accent) went above and beyond to help me. This was the first time I had been to this landfill, I was quite disoriented! He showed me what went where and we got it sorted! Thanks again. Great for bird watching too- pukekos everywhere!
