Joshua Morgan's Grave
This small memorial to a tough old pioneer is well worth a short visit. The short walk crosses a lovely hard rock stream. There are toilets, a rubbish bin and a nice road bridge. Poor old Josh Morgan died with peritonitis due to being so far from any medical help. We need to honour and remember these heroes that took the risks to open up the country.

Loved the drive up the SH 43. Unbelievable views , well worth the effort. 3rd time lucky as bad weather prevented it previously this year

Walk through the Bush 2 mins to reach the graveside. An interesting piece of NZ history.No entry fee. Its not a museum.
