Nice spiced oat cookie. Brownies are huge for $6. Coffee very average though, no better than your local Z station but more expensive at $6. My expectations were so high.

Visited Volare today. After living out of town for a long time, was very excited when I saw it so walked in with a with a big smile on my face. Unfortunately the customer service was very poor and I felt quite unwelcome. The girl serving me was quite short and rude even after I clarified if they were still open/serving coffee given her demeanour. When I ordered an ice coffee she sternly retorted 'what type of coffee?' when I looked confused she repeated it. Then she yelled, water or milk. I clarified yes I would like a coffee with milk thanks. I went and sat in the sun and I could hear yelling from indoors every couple of minutes.. I thought oh what's going on in there. Then I heard it again and realised she was yelling 'ice coffee' I went in and got it. There were no other customers.. The other young girl chuckled, I think they found being rude to customers entertaining.The pastry I had and the coffee were great. Volare is always top quality and I will definitely return to the Hamilton East store...

Gluten free loaves are delish. Daily soups in winter, salads in summer. Staff are awesome!

Its not often i see a barista testing and cleaning methodically as they work ... this barista lady with silver-blonda hair and lovely smile, was absolutely onto it throughout all the coffees she was making! I knew it was gonna be an amazing coffee by watching her! Checked the grind, tasted a shot; brushed, cleaned and ground only what she was using for that handle of coffee..! What a pleasure to watch!!!!!!!!!So, 5/5 for the coffee... oh, and yes it did completely meet my expectations for flavour and milk, texture. And not a flippin thermostat in sight... yeahhhhh!!!!! ❤️I confess the cake wasnt quite up to snuff - but the coffee still makes the review a 5....
