Fantastic rides for a good value. Staff friendly and well organized. Great classic foods at a reasonable price. Don't listen to the anti vax reviews left on here.

When travelling from Aus I was reluctant to go to the carnival due to the ridiculous pricing I've seen in Sydney etc but it Mahons was extremely well priced! The food, the rides and the games were all great and even the 'carnies' were super friendly! Can not recommend this place enough, my kids had an absolute ball and my youngest especially loved all the lights and the whole atmosphere as amazing! So glad we went, we'll be back again for sure!

My children were very disappointed that this organization chose to exclude our family based on medical discrimination. Their adherence to the human rights violations of the 'framework' makes no sense given that their carnival is OUTDOORS, beyond the scope of the mandates impose by the government. This serves no safety purpose, and only alienates and disappoints customers like ourselves who value our medical privacy.

We are at Taupo, Staff refused to give pass as it is 9pm., But she said we can buy tickets which was 20$ for 4 but the whole pass was 22$ only., Literally cheated, but we didn't want to upset ma daughter. Ruthless staff.,

My family of four got refused entry into one of Mahons Amusements' outdoor fairs held in Upper Hutt on account of us not having a vaccine pass. According to the Government's guidelines, operators of gatherings such as community fairs have the option to either request a vaccine pass or not. A responsible operator could have assessed appropriate risk factors to determine the need for a vaccine pass. This case clearly did not warrant it, as the gathering was out in the open, with sufficient space to allow for distancing.By turning me and my family away, this business CHOSE to discriminate against us. Instead of causing laughs, as their motto suggests, today it caused tears.

Unfortunately this family bussines has gone downhill since I was last there 10 years ago. The poor attitudes of staff and ridiculous pricing for 2min rides and the woman in the amusement tent was yeling at patrons. Not a good look if you wish to provide a family friendly service

Daylight robbery these guys. Forgot to mention the coupons change colours each day for the Easter show after selling us a huge pack. Just another scam like most of those games.

Prices were astronomical. $12 for four rotations on the Spinning Tea Cup ride.Despite it being optional, they have also chosen to discriminate, based on medical condition (choosing to not be vaccinated).This left our Kids disappointed for no valid reason.It wasn't even crowded - probably due to the worsening reputation that this company has.
