Friendly staff with a very homely and family welcoming feeling. Beautiful garden that is like you just stepped out of the city. Loved it there. Highly recommend this place. Wonderful people and very family orientated which is always a double plus in my books

Fantastic little place to stay. Most comfortable beds in a motel I've slept in bar none. Little private courtyard for your room really makes it your own space. My new favorite motel in Chch.

Cranford Cottages and Motel
After travelling all over the North & South Islands staying in various motels with work, Cranford Cottages are truly the best. We consistently have issues, mainly small, with just about every motel we stay in. Not only has Cranford Cottages motel been top-class in every way, but Rebecca & Rodney are a delight to deal with and have been so accommodating in many ways. We absolutely love staying here!

Absolutely beautiful private cottages with beautiful garden surroundings, So peaceful and calming literally felt like I was in the country. Room had everything needed, comfortable bed, great aircon and the owner was absolutely lovely and so welcoming on arrival. Good car park too. I absolutely loved my stay here and will definitely be back!. Beautiful people and fantastic place! Super clean too!

I've had 2 days here so far and have 2 days more. I've read some of the poor reviews and I can only assume those people would complain that the sky is dark at night. Rebecca the manager is a very approachable, friendly and helpful host . My cottage on arrival was spotless, comfortable and spacious. I could not recommend a stay here highly enough. Well done Rodney and Rebecca its a credit to you and all your hard work. Thankyou for making my stay comfortable

Would not recommend. Terrible customer service, discriminatory and judgemental. A little human decency wouldn't go amiss. Definitely would not bring children here. Do better!

Firstly - I wasn't asked to leave but left due to safety reasons. I don't know why you would feel the need to be dishonest about this fact.Secondly - I gave my key to my family to empty the fridge/room of food that was going to go off. They did not USE the room like you suggested and were there for 20 mins in total out of the two visits made. Thirdly - you had no problem taking money for 3 people when only one was staying at the time. Don't tell me your including the people trying to rid the room of food going off? Next time maybe I shouldn't be so considerate.
