Every once in a while it’s important to to visit these types of memorials and remind yourself of the history of your nation, to remember and honor those who sacrificed to give us the freedoms and opportunities we enjoy today. Thank you.

As an ex military service man, I have always had it on the to do list, to visit the National War Memorial. I've often watched the ANZAC service on TV but you don't get a sense of the scale or presence of the site. It was a pity the building was closed but I knew that prior to arriving. A solemn but fitting tribute. We will remember them.

A lovely place to pay tribute to those who gave their lives physically or mentally so we could live in peace. Beautiful and spiritual.

Nicely set out. Reverent without being too fussy. Impressive building. Felt appreciative while browsing through the names and obvious sacrifice. Glad I looked around.

We happened to be there just before 5pm, stunning rendition of the last post, and flags lowering ceremony, well worth visiting!

Called to pay my respect to our falling warrior. Not too happy as someone had been walking on his tomb.I can't believe that people would do that.No respect for our fallen. An upset Veitman Veteran.

Historic and peaceful place. A beautiful garden is there to sit, neat and clean. Must go at the time of sunset.

Very fitting place to come and reflect on the war heroes and the horrors of the wars. It's very calm and had a lovely view over the city. The area is a stunning wife open space just up from the city. Currently with the war exhibit with scale models of the great war battles for which are famous in nz it makes visiting both the memorial and the museum well worth it

This exhibition is spectacular. If your in Wellington it's worth a visit. A sad story in our world history brought to life in a awe-aspiring sensory overload. Her the story and experience the trenches of Gallipoli. The sound, the smell even. It's a shame it won't be a permanent part of the war memorial for much longer. Bring plenty of time as there's plenty to see and ponder.
