Nice for a stop on a long trip. The vibe is really nice and I like that they make their own food, even their own pies. My food was pretty good, the potatoes could be a bit more cooked and seasoned but the brisket was really flavourful. I would have liked to see their gluten free items in the cabinet on the top shelf to avoid cross contamination from the items above for Coeliac people. Service was nice and friendly and the prices are reasonable.

The spiced carrot cake was delicious! So tasty and yummy, definitely recommend it! Icing was delicious and the cake was yuuuuuuum. If you haven't tried it, TRY IT! :)

I want to gatekeep this place so badly, but it's not every day I'm traveling past Mangaweka, so I'll let the public in on this little gem. Every little thing I've had the pleasure of enjoying at Dukes has been so perfectly delicious, it honestly makes me a bit sad I can't go more often. The food is awesome, the service is phenomenal, my only real complaint" would probably be the 2pm closing time

We always love stopping here on our trips up the country. Amazing coffee and great food. The cabinet food is always delicious too. Cool atmosphere as well - not a cookie cutter cafe.I always recommend this place if I know friends and family are passing.

Foodie delight! What a fabulous spot. Delicious home baked foods! Try a divine toasted cheese scone (with lashings of butter) or a lamb and kumara pie. The atmosphere is magic with beautiful touches like flowers and a shelf of homemade preserves. Plus a great kids’ corner. Thanks to Laura and her team.

A popular spot for brunch, lunch or a snack. Our meals were delicious and cheese scones looked yum too! Good selection of cabinet food too. Some sheltered outdoor seating at the back and clean bathrooms. Highly recommended.

Stopped in on the way home to Wellington and SO impressed with this lovely wee place! Awesome food, great warm service, and beautiful interior with local food and art for sale. Looking forward to stopping in next time we head north.

Fantastic place to stop if you have an EV. 4 Tesla super chargers and a ChargeNet charger right here.But the highlight is the cafe and Laura. The friendliest staff and the best cheese scones. And the rest of the homemade food looked so mouthwatering. We’ll be back and make this a regular stop whenever passing. So good to see
