Incredible spot at sunset and sunrise with an amazing, well carved track through ancient forest to a huge in-ground cave. Epic spot!

Be sure to bring warm clothes with you. If camping overnight make sure you have a sturdy tent as wind and rain can occur anytime. Bring ear plugs too if camping overnight the tree frogs can keep you up all night long, hypnotic to hear their croaking. Pretty much four seasons in one day. Beautiful views. Loved it!

What a beautiful place! Even just the drive in is beautiful! There is water available in place, also long drop toilets. You can go from here on a lot of different walks and hikes. Most popular is approx 45min walk to the top of the Harwood Hole. You cant see much into the hole, but the walk is nice! Well woryh going to the view point as well, the view towards Takaka valley is incredible.

Outstanding location of majestic natural beauty. 45 minutes walk to awe inspiring views from Gorge Creek lookout down into Takaka Valley, and Harwoods Hole lookin.DoC facilities are a clean water tap and a composting toilet.
