Nice place to stop for pics, I don't think we were there at the right time of the year and maybe spring would be more the go to see a good sized colourful field

Did not see Lupin as the season is over but saw the rainbow over the Church of the Good Shepherd.

Lupin fields though not as many.. you can see them in clusters here or there and in many areas along the main road leading in and out of Lake Tekapo. I understand the park blooms are in December though you can already see them in late Nov.

Beautiful field of Lupins with a good view of Lake Tekapo as a background. Too bad there were almost as many tourists though, missed a good photo opportunity.

Really sweet location. A tonne of Lupins to view. There is a fence but if you are with. few mates you can lift it up and squeeze under it if you’re not too big.

It is empty during winter but there are still beautiful views in the area particularly the snow capped mountains
