The cafe is great place for small group to seat and enjoy breakfast lunch or afternoon tea. Plenty of options to choose from a snacks and small plates. I loved the interior of this cafe, it is very beautiful and antique. It is pretty comfortable and nice place to relax for a short time before you begin your journey again.

Great food, really busy and unfortunately they were short staffed so quite a long wait. The burger was really good,only downside was when I ordered the burger I was asked if I wanted fries with it so I ordered fries. Guess what, the burger came with fries anyway, a waste of money. It didn't say on the menu board that it came with fries. It would be helpful if the menu board was accurate.

The Copper Kettle is gone ..... I guess things change.. it not only has a new name, but it now has a very contemporary look .... I like the concept and the fit out - it’s very urban chic .... I am disappointed about the other changes though ... no more self service to a huge variety of sandwiches and pies ... they do it for you ... which, in itself is not bad .... but the Cheese and Onion Sandwiches - something this place was famous for ... was so disappointing ... did they toss a block of cheese and a couple of onions in a blender and blitz it until it was a paste to smear on the sandwiches? ... the sandwich was very disappointing ... the coffee was bitter .... and there was no raw sugar option - only white sugar and equal - now, normally, I wouldn’t expect raw sugar at cafe in Ngatea ... but with the new urban chic look - it’s an expectation .... I really hope the owner of this place reads all the reviews and focus’s on the negative feedback to improve their business ..... lets see if its better the next time I’m passing

Truely excellent.My wife left her cardi there on the way home to Auck from Waihi & they have been most helpful in getting it back to us.Highly recommended

We stopped here on our way to Auckland.The young boy who served us was very unfriendly and even i told him we are food here he gave everything takeaway. After confronting him about this issue. Instead of apologising or just giving food with cutlery he started arguing with me that oh!! “Not my fault you never told me”Then the coffee I received was burnt!! Thankfully the girl who was making coffee was super nice and helpful and she made another nice coffee.
