I know that things happenAnd places can be short staffed. However over a concert weekend they really should've thought of this. I waited well over an hour to get into my room. When I asked a second time I was told it hadn't even been started to get cleaned yet. I understand that it was super busy however a mass email would've been nice- even just a generic email letting people know there was a delay on check in times. I had plans that I had to cancel, as I couldn't get into my room and drop my bags off. Not only that the smell of bleach and chlorine was extremely strong.I was given a full refund, however be warned that they do use very harsh chemicals to clean.

Excellent location, parking mustn't be a given as it was unavailable when we arrived and we had to find parking elsewhere. Rooms are big enough for staying a night to a week but any longer than that you might be over it as the bed is quite close to the door, so noise from the hallway could be an issue. In saying that though, it is fairly priced. Also there is the communal kitchen you can access if you need.

Worst night ever. Room was double booked, had me waiting for an hour to get me a new room. Noisy outside and inside with other guests talking the whole night, very thin walls. Room couldn’t be darkened so it go bright very early.Wish I had read the other reviews before. Don’t go there.

Decent place to stay if you want cheap and easy accommodation. Definitely not a 5 star place like mentioned on google maps. More of a backpackers than anything. Clean enough room and nice to have ensuite next to room. Kitchen and living area in the basement is quite nice and easy to make food in. Some staff weren’t the most helpful and I waited a bit before they acknowledged I was at reception even though they knew I was there. Other staff was great though. Overall a very nice backpackers motel though

Been in Auckland for work 5 months now and moved around a bit.. This would be the most comfortable and professional budget accommodation ice had in Akld.Reception have been friendly and helpful.Good clean kitchen facilities and a great social area....free pool, ping-pong, board games etc.Recommend!

Wasn't easy to find parking, pure luck that we got one close by. Not sure why we couldn't park underground. Location close to k-road and down hill into city. Room was small, had a ceiling fan, air con would of been alot better as it blew the hot air around, so couldn't cool down, had everything u need for a nights stay. Cleaners need to check they have cleaned properly as our shower had hair stuck to the shower walls, only a makeup face cloth to use, no wash cloth.Overall for a nights stay the room was okay, key card access so security was good

Cheapest private room in Auckland for a reason. Switched hostels halfway through my stay. Moved rooms 3 times— heavy chemical smells in first room, leaky ceiling in the bathroom of the second & a leaky shower in the 3rd room that had terrible mold growing on the carpet (woke up with my allergies flaring).

Wouldn't touch this place if it was the last place left in Auckland!!! my son and his girlfriend arrived during the storm last night only to find that the girl behind the desk had let there room out to someone else this is 9.30 pm at night, she let it out to another guest with the same first name her response was my bad" I made a mistake

Great value - like a hotel stay for a budget hostel price. Our room and ensuite bathroom were clean and much nicer that I'd been expecting based on the price. The staff and other guests were friendly. The kitchen was huge, well stocked, and pretty clean (not perfect but hey, it's a hostel - guests are responsible for cleaning up the mess they make in the shared space, and some do a better job than others). All in all: pleasant, quiet, central location, had everything we needed for a nice stay.

This was the second time we stayed. Great location and price.We were a little disappointed, they could not give us a service, but we had asked for new towels, new cups, and rubbish to be emptied and this was not done. Our room with the single twin beds, no hot water for two days we let the front office know and we were reimbursed so that was fantastic as we were not expecting that. Staff were helpful and lovely.
