I recently visited Halifax Cafe and tried their 'Halifax Big Breakfast' with 2 pieces of toast, grilled bacon, sausage, mushrooms, and eggs, with the option of fried or scrambled. The breakfast was delicious and very filling, leaving me feeling satisfied for hours. What really stood out to me was how accommodating the staff were to my preferences. As I don't like tomatoes or mushrooms, they were happy to exclude them from my meal, which I really appreciated.To top it off, I had a chocolate and banana milkshake with cream, which was absolutely delicious and the perfect sweet treat to balance out the savory breakfast. The staff were not only accommodating but also provided a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. They had contagious smiles, and their laughter added to the overall positive experience.I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of food and service at Halifax Cafe and will definitely be coming back with my father to share the experience. I highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a delicious breakfast and a friendly atmosphere. Thank you, Halifax Cafe, for an excellent dining experience!

We came in on the 2nd of Jan and were pretty disappointed.The food was very slow to come out and didn’t come out together, so the first person at our table of four was finished before the last person had been served. There seemed to be some confusion about which table had ordered what, and the waitress was calling out to tables from across the dining room to figure out which plate belonged to them which was weird and rude. The ceiling was also very dusty and the whole place felt like it needed a deep clean.The food itself was fine, but not worth the markup they charge. There are plenty of other restaurants nearby that charge similar prices but deliver much better quality.I hope things improve so I can come back and update this to a five star!

Needs a good clean, floor needs swept. Ordered eggs on white toast and recieved it with multigrain which my wife has alleges to seeds, this was corrected I had what was advertised at Avocado smash with eggs, toasted pumpkin seeds well the ½ Avocado was sliced put on plate with 5 pumpkin seeds and 2 very small eggs in which 1 was broken. I did mention the disappointment of what we recieved and the lady was happy to take away but I figure if you can't do a simple meal the 1st time why try again. When the coffee csme out the lady said hopefully ive made this hot enough for you, unsure the reason for this. Many other places to experience food and coffee in Nelson.
