I have had this place on my bucket list of restaurants to go to and I wish I went sooner. Our waiter was very nice to us and explained the menu very well. The coffee was fantastic too. The platter we got was soo good too. I will be back here in the near future and I couldn't recommend more!

Lovely simple ambience, traditional sitting arrangement, Mesob platter was really good with perfect combo of meat and veggies (i think i could do with bit more tender chicken 4.9/5) and such a lovely service with big smile on their face. Love it

We had decided to some by for dinner to try out this place since it was something quite different to other places. The restaurant is located very close to Lynn mall, just off Great North Road. We didn't book but got quite lucky as there were some tables available, albeit we had to eat a bit fast.We ordered a few items to share. We did ask about the platter, but we weren't sure what the difference was so just got individual items instead. With each meal, you do have a choice between injera and rice, but we went with the injera.I also grabbed the biers and that was quite interesting, like a soda with an interesting flavour. The food was really nice. They all had different flavours and were quite tasty. I particularly enjoyed the misir wat, the red lentil stew. It wasn't what I was expecting but it tasted great. The door wat had a little bit of heat and was also quite nice. The injera wasn't too sour so it was easy to eat alone or with the tasty dishes.Definitely quite an interesting place for dinner. The platters did look really nice so could be an option for next time.

Very full restaurant, they were doing their best despite being understaffed. We had the meat platter, it was incredible and is well worth it. I have never had lamb so good. The flavor was very good.

A great food experience! Who knew there was an Ethiopian restaurant in Auckland? Authentic and delicious, we picked a meat platter and mixed platter on one large plate to share between 4 of us. You use the Ethiopian bread to pick up the meats, vegetables, egg, lentils etc. It was new to me - I'd never tried Ethiopian food before. The staff were very helpful and friendly too. I loved it!

The restaurant prides itself on serving good food made with high-quality ingredients, ensuring a satisfying dining experience. The staff members are friendly and attentive, contributing to the overall positive atmosphere. However, there was a slight drawback when it came to the chicken dish, as it had a lingering taste that resembled leftovers. Despite this, the dish was still enjoyable and had a delicious flavor.

This restaurant has such a great vibe! It was my first time trying Ethiopian cuisine and it did not disappoint! The food was amazing. Every bite was filled with flavor, the whole dining experience was lovely. There are many options to choose from. They are a kid friendly restaurant and my toddler had such a good time. The staff were extremely kind, helpful and welcoming. It’s an easy 5-star for me!
