Waimak River Riding Centre Limited
Went to experience beginners horse trekking to the waimak river. The view of the river is stunning and the professionalism of the trainer by Ms Sacha and team have do much assurance for our team after we climbed into the horse and started riding. It was all worth the experience for those who wants to experience riding a horse. Recommended

My daughter went on the Fantail ride on Oct 18. Sacha was our guide, and we had a really lovely couple from Tasmania with us. Beautiful ride! Sacha was the best! Very sweet and thoughtful. She made the ride extra wonderful. We hope to have my granddaughter take lessons here. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful experience doing the 2 hour trip. My partner was very anxious getting on a horse for the first time, but Amelie, as well as the horse Rocky, calmed her and gave her confidence. That just 5 minutes into the ride, she had a big smile on her face and enjoyed herself fully. The horses are really well taken care of. As locals to the area, we will come again.

Absolutely brilliant experience. Right from being welcomed by Meg the sheepdog to the friendly staff and of course the well trained and extremely well behaved horses Dash and Tonna. Fantastic scenery along, around and through the turquoise waters of the Waimak river. Sasha was an outstanding host and a pleasure to trek around with. If you are considering trying a horse trek in Canterbury I personally would highly recommend these guys. Very knowledgeable and very understanding of our lack of experience.

Wow, what a fantastic morning we've had! The trek was amazing, even in bad weather, the team were super friendly, patient and helpful. The horses were beautiful and calm and a pleasure to trek on. Thank you so very much, we'll definitely be back for more.

Just wow! Truly amazing experience! Staff are truly incredible and friendly, made us feel safe and comfortable and talked us through every single detail possible before getting us near the horses. Big thanks to Sacha our instructor, truly made the hour trek a great experience. As a first time rider I was pretty nervous but the horses were great and well trained and all the staff there ensured we felt safe the whole time. Will definitely be going back for the two hour trek!

I have no where else to do this review, so I'll have to do it here. The horror trail this place runs is not good. Definitely not worth the wait in line nor the $25 per person. Not even because of the rain and mud, but because the actors and set up is really bad. 7 actors along the trail and they're just bad. There was literally just dolls and spider webs for the decor. If you want to walk in the mud and pouring rain and have awkward interactions, then this is the event for you.

Wonderful experience. Went for a 2 hr trek with my daughter. We had a great time. Our riding guide Amelie was fantastic, informative and very knowledgeable about the area. Thoroughly recommend. Dress warmly for winter. Horses were wonderful. Can't wait to repeat!

We had a wonderful family ride today. Sacha was a brilliant guide . She catered for all our abilities and was very generous with her time. Her safety briefing and learners guide to riding was clear and concise. We highly recommend Waimak River Riding School. We had the best morning riding. Thank you.

Really great place to ride that ticks all the boxes.Wonderful horses ☑Amazing people ☑Stunning location ☑My 12 year old daughter has riding lessons elsewhere once a fortnight but just for her birthday I arranged for here to go for a horse trek, a little different and just for fun. She absolutely loved it.I went along and it was an absolute pleasure.
