Amazing space Kaitaia did well to renovate an old space into this beautiful area we spent years in as kids teens and as adults I love the Museum and Archives area and yet to enjoy a movie

Great place to walk around. The loop, around Te Ahu and neighboring properties is being developed. Here's some morning shots on the loop.

Pros: It's fantastic that somewhere as small as Kaitaia gets to have the latest movies on the big screen. The seats are comfy and although the screen is not huge, it's a classic old-style cinema.Cons: Consistently across three visits, we found the majority of other patrons to be older patrons who seem blissfully unaware just how rude it is to chatter during a movie or to giggle at tense moments in a thriller.

I came here on a public holiday looking to use the library for some study and it was closed, but the staff were very accomodating and allowed us to use a desk to complete our work. It was very kind of them and I look forward to returning when everything is open.

An awesome museum, we learned lots of things about the area that we didn't know despite growing up here in the North. The displays were great and very informative. The gift shop was neat and had some cute locally made gifts we simply had to buy.

Reasonably prices tickets. Cans of drinks for 4 dollars is extravagant. The facilities were clean, but alot of rubbish left in the cinema.

This is the best community centre I have ever been in. The library has a peaceful calm about it and many great books to browse. Ah, an enticing smell from the café! There are freshly made snacks and great coffee, too. Most important, all the staff are friendly and approachable - smiles are everywhere you look!As well as the library, there are numerous more things that make Te Ahu great. An excellent cinema showing the latest movies, intriguing artwork in the atrium, an art space for local artists to display their work, souvenir and information centre, computers to use for free and also a museum.Come see for yourself and enjoy :)
