ASB Te Rapa Branch

Today we went into create a family account at 4pm, and got told from another ASB worker that they could not serve us because they were closing. Closing time is 4:30pm. Her tone was rude and as a customer I did not appreciate being turned down 30mins before closing time, my family and I are all ASB customers and the account will only take about 10mins. However, the lovely Zoe offered to serve us and reassured my family and I that it will only take 10mins. The lady continued to have a personal conversation with another colleague as Zoe continued to serve us. So thank you so much Zoe, for you’re attention to detail and upholding excellent customer service during our time. We appreciate you. Very disappointed from that lady action, and hope no one else experiences her ignorance.

Not a good response from manager, she was lack of information. And also, rude with staff. Always ask customers to go one of central branch, if couldn't solve issue.

I asked them to provide me a new debit card they gave me eftpos. When I asked how I will do online shopping she was saying sometching else. I couldn’t understand they were not ready to help the customers. They want their customer to do everything on their way. Then I asked to transfer money into another bank account they said you can online I said I know but I want to go through bank as it’s $17k. One of the staff member said you can do it online 17k is not big amount. Sorry 17k is not big amount this is not a way how you treat your customer. If I have to do it online I can do it at home why I need to come at branch.

I tried to deposit cash into an account to pay for products supplied by a customer of theirs and they refused to take the cash payment, told me i had to deposit to my bank then transfer via internet, and blamed covid and understaffing as to why this policy has changed. I was standing in an empty bank with 4 staff members at ten past nine in the morning, go figure. What a terrible Bank and a terrible policy not accepting payments on behalf of their clients, just trying to do as little work as possible and shift all their admin back on the client. Useless asb. What a disgrace.

I just wanted to give a huge thumbs up and a thankyou to the staff at the ASB Base. The young mans name was Cory and I am SO sorry I didnt get the ladys name. We had an awefully tricky situation that basically left us stranded. Long story short, after providing ID, they listened, thought outside of the box and did everything they could to fix our problem. You were both so professional, kind and caring to us. Thankyou.

Customer support is a joke and has been for years, answer you phones. Im changing banks as a result. would chose no stars if I could

Very long waiting times. It's really frustrating when they have 3 or 4 staff members roaming around . I know they are waiting for appointment or waiting for something but they can help waiting customers instead waiting for their appointment. At 1410 4 staff members passed us but no one even tried .In normal counter operations I understand their is normally a policy that if it's anticipated that person on counter will take more than 2 or 3 minutes then pass on to someone else or ask them to book appointment rather than making a whole que wait for them .It's not staff on counter fault they are doing their best but there should be que system. Even token number system will help .

A bank which shows worsening customer service by the day and this Te Rapa branch has selfish staff who are not interested in helping customers. Abysmal horrible service with little care shown for customersI went in there on the off chance I could exchange a small amount of foreign currency. Oh no, the woman said, you cannot do it because of COVID as all banks had stopped dealing in foreign currency due to COVID ....she said I could over to Chartwell .....what a joke!!?? What is the point of driving all the way over there?The worst thing was that they were so selfish and protective of their own custom that they refused to advise if their competitors still dealt with it.... This is the worst criticism of them and shows they put profits before the customer. A mature and confident business would not be so selfish and unhelpful.ZERO out of 5 for the worst service possible
