Pros: very clean and spotless and staff came to change towels each day and make bed, do dishes. Great heating. Bed very comfortable. Owner very helpful and friendly.Cons: room quite small, very basic for a couple but OK for one person as nowhere to relax except for on the bed. Not really a problem if out most of the day. No shelves for clothes, had a few hangers but could do with more.

Older hotel but always clean and great location. Always stay here when in Dunedin. Reception staff couldn't be more helpful.

Awesome central location. Shabby on outside, but room was fit for purpose, bed was supportive, bathroom was fully modernised. Room valeted every day Staff -:woman on check-in was great but otherwise I didn't really raise a greeting from man.

Motel and staff are awesome.A little close call driving in on our shuttle.The driveway is too narrow so nearly took out our roof on a low balcony

Don't let the outside of this building put you off. It beautiful and clean. Rooms are warm and comfy and Wayne the owner is a very nice chap.

We stayed 3 nights. Fantastic location being central to city and Octagon. Great sized rooms - separate bedroom & dining room / lounge. Dated decor but comfortable and clean. Good off-street parking

We desperately needed a room last minute (every hotel was booked/ludicrously overpriced because there was a big Eagles concert in town) and the people at the front desk really helped us out. We had literal tons of luggage (just moved from overseas) and they were so accommodating storing it for us so we didn’t have to drag it all up to our doom (typo but I’m keeping it). The room was also very clean and warm, with a nice kitchenette. Location is great too, right in the center of town. Thanks to the great people working there!

Central location, free parking, clean and tidy rooms that are warm and quiet, all at a very reasonable price. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.I’ll definitely use again when I’m in Dunedin.

Very happy with my stay at 97 Motel Moray. The room was very comfortable and spotless. Fantastic location right in the heart of Dunedin. I accidentally left a piece of jewellery in the room and I was promptly contacted by the owner offering to send it to me. I'm very grateful for this - thank you Wayne and the team at 97!
