Birkenhead Ferry Terminal
Nice coffee here. Sometimes the ferries are on time and sometimes they aren't. Sunrise is nice time for photographs here

Friendly security, public facilities were nice and clean. The location on the water is great. Cafe was small and quaint. Nice inside seating for those windy days.

Catch a bus here if you can, as parking is a problem! Super clean and lovely friendly staff. I enjoyed my visit to Birkenhead.

Birkenhead Ferry Terminal
Horrible experience with agro security guard who demanded I can’t take photos when all I wanted to do was buy a coffee and drink it on the balcony and take a few pictures. What a wombat todemand I couldn’t take a photo. Felt like I was visiting a prison. Won’t ever come back again.

Birkenhead Ferry Terminal
Birkenhead wharf mainly serves the passenger ferry service between Auckland CBD and Birkenhead in the North Shore. The average time to travel between Auckland and Birkenhead Ferry Terminal is about 14 minutes. There is a ferry service every few hours from Auckland to Birkenhead Ferry Terminal and vice versa. Ferry terminal passengers are served by a regular Auckland Transport bus services to all main suburbs in and around Birkenhead, Birkdale, Beach Haven, Hibury etc., Ferry terminal has a good café and toilet facilities.Birkenhead ferry services were started in the early 20th century, around 1910 using paddle steamers. By then the only mode of transport between the Auckland city and North Shore was the Devonport ferry service which was started in late 19th century. These two ferry services were playing a vital role in Auckland public transport before the harbour bridge was opened in 1959.

Like waiting in a barn with windows waiting for the ferry... it's functional but not a place I would recommend
