Freedom - Wellington

Not one person on the floor or at the counter. Crazy we are trying to spend money in this shop. Would be easier to just walk out the store with what you want and nobody would know.. what a joke

The manager said she would call me back today in regards to a refund owed from over a month ago… did she call.. no! How unprofessional can this company get?!

Came to Freedom in Wellington knowing exactly what I wanted but the shop assistant took an hour processing one item :( very frustrating, she keep redoing the process, was very unfamiliar with the store and kept calling the manager back for assistance, in particular she also kept spelling my name wrong despite me clarifying it multiple times - and ended up peeking at the screen myself because I had lost faith and it was STILL incorrect, and lastly she kept swapping the item I wanted with one I didn’t want and had to keep correcting that too. It was very difficult and frustrating. It’s such a pity because my experience with the Auckland store was so different and I had really liked their furniture. It was an awful experience, some mistakes I can definitely overlook but calling me by the wrong name over six times despite me correcting it each time was just disrespectful.edit: also no news on when I may receive my product, in hindsight I should have looked at the other reviews before my purchase. Don’t waste your time here.

Messed up delivery. Delivered the wrong product. No contact even after messages left. Took me chasing over and over to get some action and still not resolved.

Terrible communication! So many delays that it’s hard to believe I’ll ever receive the furniture now! Feel like this is a scam!! We were reassured at the time of purchase that the order was available in the local warehouse and would receive it within 10 working days… and 4 months later i we are still waiting! And having to make contact to chase this up, and being told of further delays each time… now currently for another2 months but surely to continue to have further delays!! Absolutely ridiculous

Bought a table in April when free delivery for items in stock, item was but was charged 100 for delivery.Delivery came a couple of weeks late with no reason and communication.Seeking refund for delivery costs but still haven’t come back to me but it’s been weeks and no contact since lodging a case.Feel compelled to make a review as my concerns aren’t being answered.Would not recommend and always check if you’re being charged when offering free delivery

We bought a Lola three-seater couch and ottoman from Freedom Furniture Wellington this year. It arrived with a delay, but given the pandemic chaos, it's totally understandable. Meanwhile, the staff stayed in touch and sent us updates regularly, which is very assuring. Unfortunately, we found some minor cracks on the couch and rang the shop. The shop assistant filed a complaint for us on the same day, and their customer service responded right away. Now, the issue has been solved, and we are very happy with the result. We found the whole team is very engaging and helpful, both in shop and online, thank you, team! And special thanks to Claudia, Afa, Mat, Iola, and the shop owner (who issued our gift card on site:)We have always in trust with Freedom Furniture's style, quality and service. And this shopping experience only furthered our trust and loyalty to them.

The staff were lovely but the shopping experience was pretty bleak because the store doesn’t actually have things available - you have to wait 5-6 month to get them delivered to you, and it’s not advertised anywhere so you find out once you’ve made up your mind.An update: It is now June (6 months later), and we have received an email saying it won't be getting here until at least mid-July... so yeah, save yourself stress and DON'T buy from them.

Bad customer service. Got a damaged furniture and they offered a refund and the money never came. Each time I phone they says it will be done but never happens.

Terrible customer service and communication. We have been waiting weeks for a refund for our furniture that arrived broken after waiting several months. The store have not followed up with requests for information and have completely stopped responding to emails and phone calls. Go shop somewhere else.EDIT: we've been waiting for refund all this time after submitting a warranty claim, that was after having a sofa tech visit twice to resolve the issue
