Basecamp Wanaka Climbing Centre
My kids ( 5 and 8 years old) and husband had an amazing time here, booked for 1 hr ended up being there for 2 hrs. I wasn't sure if my 5 year old was big enough to do it but he climbed very well and loved it!I can't remember the 2 ladies names that were there (2nd Jan-afternoon) but they were fantastic and even gave my family a taster of the harder climbing walls.Very friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely come back!

Great for fit energetic people, good value. A bit in need of a make over, sitting area for people watching a bit messy. Could do with a tidy up and more seating

Basecamp Wanaka Climbing Centre
Went to the Clip ‘n’ Climb a couple of days after Christmas.It does not have a massive selection of Climbs but totally enough for a small group of children. We took 6 children of various ages and there were climbs suitable for 4-14 year olds.Had a good time watching the children climb. Staff were helpful, but not intrusive. We were mostly left to enjoy ourselves. They hung near enough by for safety and helping where neededThere is a playground outside, good for any younger children.

Great gym near town. It's small, but has a variation of top rope and lead routes, a bouldering cave, and some fun auto-belay setups that are great for training.

Very nice facilities. I've just use the boulder cave, it's very small but only 8,50$ ! If like me you're on a road trip and you just need to keep fit and climb a little bit it's enough. You have a slab wall, spray wall and finger board with some training exemple on side, very useful.I've created 2 boulders (you can see them on the pic) the red one is around V4/5 (6B/C) and the blue one V5 (6C). You start on holds with the S" and you finish both hand on the hold with "F". I'm not a route setter or anything just a passionate climber so the grades may not be very accurate
