A very sweet young boy served me and was very helpful. The gardens are also very pretty although I feel bad for the birds in cages as they seem quite depressed and are exploited.I saw some kids throwing rocks at the chickens. Maybe look towards hiring more staff to patrol the gardens so that customers don't abuse your animals. The food wasn't great and infact was very overpriced for what it was.

Beautiful gardens with lovely paths to follow around the grounds. Many bird aviaries over the property, yet a lot of the birds are free and follow you around - especially if you have some bird food with you! Very awesome experience, will come back again in spring to see it in another season

To be honest expected to see more birds, but the park/garden is really big and pretty. It's great to spent a few hours, and have lunch or cofee. There is also kids area with swings and slides.

We love visiting Katikati Bird Gardens, a beautiful, serene garden space with many different birds to see and feed. Parking, toilets and cafe onsite and bird feed you can buy. Ducks, geese, chickens, pheasants, peacocks, doves etc are all tame enough to eat out of your hand. I must admit that when we visited the kids their and their respective parents did impact the experience with them being allowed to chase baby chicks and catch them by their parents. I would suggest the owners put signage up to ensure the birds are able to be fed but not harrassed if this isnt already there.

Beautiful gardens and so many birds. Don't be greedy with the bird seed just give it. Bring a nice cold drink to have with you while you walk around

I definitely won’t be coming back here I felt sorry for the birds their enclosures looked very dirty and very unkept. The man who served me in the cafe was not friendly at all snatched my eftpos card out my hand, I did not feel comfortable speaking with him he didn’t even say hello or welcomed me which I think is very bad customer service. I had a look inside where the cafeteria is when I was leaving he did not say goodbye thank you for coming to me that is not good customer service. Also what I thought was disgusting was how dirty the tables were and particularly the bathroom which I unfortunately had to use it was absolutely disgusting. It just feels like there is no love in the place I am worried and concerned about the birds and I definitely won’t be going back and I. Will be letting family and friends know not to go there disgusting!!

This was actually better than we expected. Very relaxed environment with calm birds to feed. Quite reasonably priced considering prices of other attractions these days. Being summer the shady tree areas made you linger longer in the cool and the water lilies and tadpoles were abundant. Baby peacocks, ducklings and chickens plus a small playground made our little one happy

Was very cool place to walk around. Need a toilet by the awesome tree hut as it was a bit far too run back. Kids absolutely loved it

What a pleasant surprise. Visited on a whim after seeing the sign on the main road. After a long wander around the expansive gardens feeding the birds, we decided to eat in the cafe. Another pleasant surprise. While the menu selection is quite small the food was delicious and extremely reasonably priced and the setting is delightful. Well worth the visit.
