I dream about eating a chicken shawarma. The wrap is soft yet chewy. Marinated and slow-cooked meat. Perfectly cooked/very fresh veg. The sauce has just the right amount of heat. It might be too spicy for some, but I thought it was perfect. Still the one place I keep coming back to when I'm working late. It's my favorite place to order from and an absolute treat.

Usually an absolutely stellar joint that delivers impeccable service, unfortunately they've hired two new white guys who haven't a clue in the world. They finished my order and just left it sitting there for 10 minutes to serve some chick's who ordered after me. I can understand wanting to prioritize the cuter customers but my food was just sitting there going cold. May you please have a talk with them about not just leaving finished orders sitting on the counter? Regardless, thank you for normally offering the best midnight food.

This place is the best! The food is next level Egyptian food. I've been quite a few times and never have been disappointed yet. Check this place out. The Prawn shawarma is where it's at.

I don't know man... I don't even think it's the shops fault, but rather a symptom of the dying inner city as a whole. If there's no street food to compete against.... why even try.I chose the lamb shawarma. I've had upwards of 100 of those in my life from at least 20 different shops, and this was my first NZ one. And really I can't think of a time when I didn't enjoy it. This, however, was terrible. The lamb was 100% fat and cartilage cuttings. Flavours were left to be desired. Size was good, but alas, that only meant a longer battle. I was asked if I wanted it spicy. I said sure. If the spice was forgotten or just low-power I'll never know. Luckily I didn't have to finish it as 3/4 through I chipped a molar on a little round piece of hard plastic or metal emanating from the shawarma. And that point I just.... gave up. Tired and disappointed. The menu is small enough, not cluttered. With shawarma making up a quarter of the menu items it is not that difficult to perfect them. But I am hopeful! The potential here is promising. Some higher quality (lamb) meat and an overhaul of the sauces and this place, too, can eventually ascend to the heights of shawarma shops that came before it.
