WORST SERVICE EVERasked for blonde hair gets darker hair then what was started took 2 sessions and they were delusion saying it is blonde when clearly it wasn’t. Abusive staff just because they couldn’t accept and fix what they had done. Hair is damaged and worsen over 2 sessions. They still charged pathetic place will never ever go there.

Continuously have exceptional service at onenine7two!!! The staff are always so welcoming and lift my mood when I walk out!! For years, I have had amazing colour and cuts by Bianca. She always knows what’s best for me. She’s recently picked out particular range for me best suited to my hair type and I’ve never had anything work better!! Highly recommend this Salon

I have seen both B and Amy for cuts and colours and have found that everytime I pop in its super friendly and warm atmosphere.When I came back after a bad bleach and colour (titanium blonde) job somewhere else I found that although it took a lot of time to fix my issue the team was so good to me and I now found that my hair is super healthy again!I am soo in love with the cut, colour and the team at 1nine7two.

The service I received was unacceptable. Wanted bright blonde hair with 2 seasons of half head of foils. First treatment was left in way to long that left my hair looking grey an dull after the first wash and extremely dry and brittle at my roots. Second session I mentioned my concerns but still wanted blonde hair. My hair came out even darker an I was made out to be a fool an they tried to convince me it was blonde when clearly it wasn’t. Felt attacked and left to cry emotionally while they made me feel stupid as my hair was still brown. Then my jacket thrown at me an told to leave. Then felt attacked by the owner who messaged me banning me from the salon for being emotion. I did not yell or swear an was still willing to pay. Left feeling hurt, confused, emotional and unsatisfied. Finally walked away with at-least a refund hence the 2 star rating and half of an apology. Will definitely not return.

I am a really busy mum who is guilty of putting myself last. Getting my hair done at 1nine7two Porirua isn't just your typical get your hair done senario. The whole experience is the best self care I would reccomend to anyone. You are greeted with vibrant staff in a very fresh, clean and tidy premises oh and did you know they are a sustainable salon. You are then taken through a very thorough consultation which leaves you feeling relieved, heard and excited. Then you just sit back relax and enjoy a cuppa and chat if you want or just switch off while the amazing talented skilled staff work their magic (believe me my mum bun tired old colured greys showing hair was a test to their skills lol) the head massage the time and care taken leaves you feeling like a whole new person you feel amazing and beautiful and all your worries just leave for that moment in time. This hair salon is not just hairdresses they are self care specialists and they are excellent at it.

The treatments I have one at 1nine7two every month are nothing but perfection every time with the same stylist. I always have a root smudge and tone, if not foiling. My hair has never been in better condition than it has been since going to 1nine7two.I was in salon at the time that Mel was in the salon, and the way she has portrayed the situation places her as the victim when this was not at all the case!The way that the team dealt with the situation was nothing like mel has described, Mel is a bully, she was screaming and yelling at the stylist and had a friend there to bounce off of as well. She got louder and louder and made herself look a fool with her very obviously lightened hair! and I'm pleased to know she has been banned and I won't have to encounter that behavior again at my next visit
