Traveled to auckland from hamilton and went to various stores before coming to modes and was instantly greeted with a smile! Fred was so incredibly helpful and was the most wonderful person i’ve seen all day. Found the most perfect dress and the most perfect earrings to go along with it!!!

Jackie and the staff were absolutely amazing. They listened to what I was after, gave great suggestions and advices. They sticked to my budget and were friendly and easy to deal with. I needed some alterations to be done and here again it was a great service, well done and didn't cost the earth. I will be back and can recommend 10 times over.

I recently got engaged and was looking around for a dress. Every store I went in no one would make conversation or see if I needed help. As soon as I came into this store I was greeted by Fred and we discussed what I wanted. Fred was absolutely amazing and found the perfect dress! I only tried on one and I knew right away it was everything I wanted. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, it was a very comfortable place! I can’t wait to come back and get my wedding dress one day.

I was able to get a lovely dress. Shop assistant was professional and very helpful. I bought a dress that she recommended. Interestingly I saw the same dress and didn't think it would suit!

Drove up from Tauranga with my sister looking for dress for my sons wedding, thinking I wouldn't find anything but found 3 great dresses to choose from and was very pleased with the lovely lady who helped me showing me all the extras i might need and bringing in the styles that would suit me.

This is simply the best shop to find a trendy dress that has flair and a bit of glamour. I needed a dress for a wedding and had searched high and low in Auckland but found nothing that was trendy, fitting or glamorous. After five minutes at Modes I was spoilt for choice and ended up buying two dresses! One for the wedding and another go-to dress! Good range of prices too! I also bought accessories - bag, earrings etc and and they are making me a shoulder wrap from matching silk organza. Btw they also have a huge selection of little jackets and wraps to cover the arms that will go with anything! The staff are experienced, knowledgeable, helpful and know what you need. So great to deal with professional women who know about dresses, give good advice and are willing to go the extra mile to help without any pressure. Terrific secluded try-on area with huge mirrors. The selection is wide and amazing with designers like Moss&Sly, LauraK etc. Hard to tell from the outside that this is a real treasure house!

We traveled up from Hamilton to find a ball dress in Auckland and had visited many shops before stepping into Modes and what an absolute treasure and breath of fresh air it was to find someone like Fred who helped with choosing a ball dress for my daughter. Extremely pleasant, helpful and knows his stuff… But It wasn’t just that he was helpful; he went above and beyond to find something that suited our needs and genuinely cared about the “end look” our daughter was after. He has an eye for detail and found the perfect dress for us in the end. We felt as it he had the time of day for us even though he had other customers to tend to as well.The professionalism, genuinely caring and kind nature of Fred meant our whole experience of “finding a ball dress” became a wonderful core memory. I walked in weeping tears of stress about finding a suitable beautiful gown at short notice and burst into fresh tears when Fred asked how he could help. he immediately got to work, asking all the right questions to figure out how to assist. the first dress he brought me was just to confirm size. the second dress he brought me to try on was perfection and I was blown away and my tears were then of happiness. I cannot recommend Fred and Modes enough for their quality, quantity, and care. I ended up with something that made me feel like a million dollars due to Fred's knowledge and compassion. Fred forever
