We began with Ron 5 years ago when we randomly approached him as a travel agent, and gave him a wish list for a potential 3 week trip to Borneo, a bucket list destination. There were no 'off the shelf' touristy packages that included everything, so Ron used his contacts and considerable people skills to put together exactly what we wanted. I would say the trip of a lifetime, but since then we have had two more big adventure trips to the south of France and Catalonian Spain (via Geneva), eventually after 7 weeks finishing in Northern Ireland and Dublin ... AND .. last year ... Ecuador (Andes, Quito), Amazonian basin, Galapagos Islands. Each trip is tailored to our particular interests. The accommodation options Ron presents are always exactly right for us and our budget. Ron is always expanding his horizons, and if we pick a destination he has had little experience worth, he makes it his business to make new contacts and prepare options for us. We enjoy his interst excitement for us and his patience if we change our minds (and plans). We look no further than Ron and his Spirit of Travel business when we travel now. I guess we lucked into it...

Ron was a pleasure to work with during a very stressful travel experience to Canada at Christmas time due to weather conditions causing our flight from Auckland to Vancouver to be cancelled. Ron worked tirelessly to get us to our destination in time and kept in regular contact with us as we navigated obstacles along the way.Once home Ron supported us with our travel insurance claim and we are awaiting a positive resolution thanks to his advice and support. We were very grateful we had chosen Spirit of Travel to plan our trip and support us through a very unexpected travel crisis. We got there in the end! Thanks Ron.
