Shane Johnson Fine Piercing

I had Lauren pierce my helix. She was amazing I would definitely recommend her to anyone. She took the time to discuss any questions I had, mark the piercing spot, and she was not rushy at all. 10/10 for her!However the reason why this review is 4 stars is because the receptionist wasn’t too friendly or helpful with choosing the earring whereas the other receptionist with colourful hair was very helpful in explaining the type of piercings they had such as threaded vs non-threaded. The prices are quite misleading. I had to pay $50 for the service, but $150 for a simple gold hoop. In total it was $200! I suppose you pay for what you get.

I went with my sister to get her nose pierced and it was a great experience from start to finish.We went not long after opening so literally waited 5mins for my sister to go through and get pierced. It was clean and tidy.Front of house staff were great, chatty and had good information. Piercer was brilliant, talked my sister through everything, aftercare was discussed and she was given a leaflet to take home.Would go back again.

I went to this studio to get my second ear lobe piercing done. It wasn’t through cartilage and is a pretty simple piercing, with only a 6-8 week heal time which is why I went with it. I asked for a simple plain ball stud as I didn’t want anything too fancy.The earrings I were given had flat end stops at the back instead of the usual butterfly clip. I didn’t know that this was an issue until three weeks in when my ears were so painful to even touch that I knew something was definitely wrong.Because there is no proper backing, the back of the earring started sinking into my ear at an angle, to where it couldn’t be moved at all and the skin was trying to heal over the top of the backing. This of course led to an infection and I ended up having to go to a doctor and have the whole thing basically ripped out of my ear which was EXTREMELY painful.The piercer should have made me aware of this as a potential problem with flat backed earrings (as I have now seen multiple other reviews saying they had the same thing happen)Not very happy at all especially after spending over $100 :(

I've been here twice, both for nose piercings, Shane and his team are all so knowledgeable and were happy to answer my 100s of questions! I was put at ease and learnt so much more about piercings and healing time etc. Would recommend this place to everyone. Their jewelery is also stunning!!!I'd love to see what they stock on their website, as you can't see what they have until you're in the store.Shane in particular is amazing and such a nice guy, happy to share his experience with you and made me feel so comfortable whilst I had my septum pierced! I'll be going back once it's healed for the next one!

Shane did my forward helix piercing today. He was so professional and made such an effort to educate me about the specifics of this piercing and the procedure. Such a good experience once again! I’ll always go to streetwise for my piercings. Thanks Shane!!

I took my daughter to get a piercing and Shane was incredibly knowledgeable, professional and communicated with my daughter well. I am very thankful for the advice given and glad that we chose to come here.

Visited this estblishment a few times, always receive excellent service. Have had piercings and reopenings done hereBrought my daughter to get her ears pierced today, i appreciate they take a bit more time for this and have a minimum age to meet before they will pierce someone

I had walked in to get an industrial piercing, and was slightly nervous about it. Shane was fantastic, he took his time and answered all my questions, taught me about proper care and what the procedure would be. Shane took great care, and made sure I was comfortable and laughing the whole way through. Genuinely can’t recommend enough!

Have just left Streetwise and I highly recommend Shane and his team. Shane took the time to really see what suited my ear and talked through the piercing as he was doing it. He was so friendly and kind. I will definitely be back. Thanks so much.

Came in with my friend feeling terrified but Shane and one of the girls made us feel much more at ease. They let us take our time and explained the process really well. They made the actual piercing process very quick and easy and hardly felt it. 100% recommend
