Beautiful venue.The old theater we were in has been tastefully done even if the front seats are a wee bit too close to the front of the stage.Awesome night with Jimmy Carr for the laughs

I enjoyed going to see the dark destroyer at Toi Toi recently. The catering staff were friendly to talk to.

The Theatre is lovely now it has been refurbished.Earthquake strengthening has not detracted from the character of the theatre itself, even though the amenities, bar and entry area are modernised

The performances we have been to were superb! Perfect night out at Toitoi/Hastings Opera House. We took our 18yr old and 8yr old to the NZSO. They loved it, and I felt thankful I could give them an experience of a treat from my childhood. Thank you

Definitely proud to have been part of the team for the few years we were here doing the seismic strengthening on the Opera House, new build for functions on Hastings and the Municipal. Now that our community are using it and it’s all lively again is just something special to see and know you had a little part in history. It looks amazing and hearing everyone commenting about it is just rewarding.

Although full restoration of the Municipal Building is incomplete, the Opera House, Foyer and Atrium conversion (to a fully operational function centre) restore the complex to a functional state capable of hosting large events and conferences. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and organised, willing and able to assist from planning to execution of your event. The Opera House acoustics remain world class, the upgrade has improved audience comfort while retaining its Art Deco era appeal. From a technical A/V perspective I did notice a small amount of noise from the venue power supply, but this was easily dealt with.

It was lovely to be in this building. Was disappointed with orchestra selection of music as a lot of HBOS children were there .
