Well laid-out and large model shop with a well-chosen stock, about half railways, mainly UK OO and N, but some US I think, and the other half die cast (about which I know nothing but it looked impressive). Yes the shop really is where Google Earth says it is, by a farmhouse" across an unguarded level crossing on an unsealed road off the main Queenstown road out of Invercargill. Friendly service. Worth the quick drive out."

Would not honour the Consumer Guarantees Act and considers a children's toy which breaks within 2 hours of ordinary use in accordance with the instruction manual is of acceptable quality. That tells me all I need to know about this operator and Hornby products.

Ordered 3 locos for export. Tom Frew was super helpful and friendly. Dropped 10% off asking price for export without me asking (GST deduction I guess), postage was reasonable. Truly painless and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks Tom. I'll let you know once locos arrive.
