St George’s Hospital

Bed and pillows extremely comfortable, especially when compared to public. Room was nice and private.However as far as food goes, this hospital really need fo get with the programme as far as the latest info on nutrition goes. They’re still following a ‘‘Heart Foundation recommended diet’, which means their meals have practislly zero fat, even healthy fats like olive oil or avocado, nuts or seeds would add to the satiety factor.There are also *no* balanced breakfast options that offer any protein or carbs (ie. brand, eggs). It’s pure carbs/cardboard (toast, cornflakes etc) I was sitting there left feeling half starved as a result, and found myself far bettter fed at Chch Public HidpitalPerhaps her a more modern doticiab on board

I had breast cancer conservation surgery under Hayley Waller and her team on 9 Feb 2022 - what a fantastic crew! They saved my life over the last 8mo. There is no price on that. We are forever in your debt.My day nurse, Deb, on ward 2 is outstanding at her job! Empathetic, personable, fun (especially when fighting with compression socks), highly professional and explained everything in detail. I can’t rate Deb’s care highly enough and I felt so privileged and lucky to have had her as my nurse and regular support. My evening nurse, Sue and night nurses Tine & I missed the name of the Thu night nurse, were also excellent.Thank you very much for your kindness and support during my important stay. You are amazing, wonderful people. Please know how valued you are.Pam & Andy

Very good facility, but cold heart radiology staff. I don’t expect any sympathy for a sudden miscarry. I was seating on a chair at corridor in a great grief. One staff kindly came to ask what's going on. This staff from radiology room came to me straightforward and said you can’t seat here(sob）at corridor and she insist moving us to a small ward and left. I may be biased in this painful moment to some extent. But I don’t feel welcomed at this place.

From my lovely nurse (Megan), to my anesthetist (Ben) and all the support team St George's were awesome! So quick and professional yet very attentive. I can't praise them enough.

Excellent hospital. The staff are the best you can get in this industry. They are professional and helpful. We have had positive experiences on multiple occasions. We highly recommend this hospital.

I’ve had 3 operations at St George’s this year so feel somewhat confident to be able to provide an educated review. The team here are amazing, the level of care and consideration is exceptional. The nursing staff are a credit to their industry. Whilst I hope I don’t have to come back again, if I do then I know I will be in for a great experience.
