Hu Ha Farmstay - BBH
Had a really nice stay. Bare in mind that this is a farm and not a lodge or motel. One could enjoy looking at the sheep and the horses just outside of the window, but this atmosphere also includes many flies and bees. The place was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The owners were very friendly and tended to all our needs when asked for help.

Really nice, lovely and relaxed place. In the evening we had a barbecue (sheltered space). The open kitchen and living room area is very large and with a beautiful woodstove. :)

Very friendly host, the hostel itself is nearby the street. Next food store and restaurant are about 25 - 35 min away. Great hostel for travellers looking for some calm spot to rest.

We absolutely recommand this place...cozy living room with chimney and well equiped kitchen, lovely, welcoming owners and the best for us AND our son: we could feed the little lambs... thanks for everything...

Great place and great value for your money.Really stay with Kiwi-family. The have sheep and dogs and great athmoshpere. The lodge is really clean and nice.

Couldn't recommend it highly enough. It felt like being at home. Rustic and beautifully clean and tidy. Jo met us with a log fire blazing. We were the only ones staying and although we had an ensuite, she offered for us to use the other bathroom which had a bath which was just glorious. There's a piano and a record player. Would be a lovely place to go away as a group. Only half an hour from Nelson Lakes.

What a nice place. Really beautiful with character. People are very friendly and the dogs as well :-). Everything is clean, and the bed is comfortable.

A lovely hostel. It's in the owner's building, but they live on the first floor. You have the hostel for yourself, which is more like a private house. The dorms are small, but have a spacious set up. As the rooms are high and the friendly owner designed the bunkbeds and fit them in very efficiently. The kitchen is clean and so was the living room. There's an old tv, but... There's an amazing collection of vinyl records! Most classical ones. We listened to lots of music while here.It's a 1 hour drive to Nelson.Why 4 stars? Because in the 4 days we've spent here, no one came in to clean the kitchen and bathroom. It looked all still clean, because we didn't make a mess. But other hostels has a daily cleaning.

Perfect place to stay on the way north or south. There is a short walk up the hill with a beautiful view. Very nice owners and cosy livingroom.
