My friend and I chose subway for lunch normally a nice and friendly place to get nice subways . Today we were angered by the middle aged Maori lady she did not listen to us properly and asked no questions regarding our 1st initial order she toasted wen not wanting toasted and blamed us .Not acceptable she is the wrong front counter person she then had attitude towards us after that.Wen all along it was her undoing.

Possibly the slowest service I've ever come across. They dither around even though the line is going out the door. Efficiency is obviously not a value here. Tis a shame because the food is nice, however the employees are a huge let down.

The older aged woman (dark hair, no name badge)working at subway Greymouth should not be dealing with the public. She was very rude and impatient.we had not been to the store before, being tourists we have met so many friendly people on the West Coast. It was a bit of a shock to come across someone so grumpy and obviously she didn't like dealing with the public. It's not that hard to be kind

Sadly in the last few months service and quality has hit a low (as can be seen from other reviews) staff have no customer service skills, unfriendly, preoccupied with each other, lack the basic skills of even greeting a customer and asking what they would like. Food quality of salads has dropped to brown yucky lettuce and salad items mixed into each other, the person next to me ordered something they ran out of the item and proceeded to lift out the container and get what had fallen out underneath to fill the order, God knows how long it had been under there or what was in it. Haven't been back and won't risk my health until I hear it's improved. Owners need to take a good look at the management and day to day running if they want to keep customers. Save your stomach and go somewhere else.

Greated on entry, how lovely. Staff were helpful, suggestions for our order. Sandwich was made with pride. Lady was chatty and informative. Tasty food. My colleague sked for a couple of biscuits, the Lady serving suggested adding the drink at a better deal. Large shop. Quiet on the day we stopped in. Store clean. Thanks team.

Just don't go here. You will leave hungry. Spend your money somewhere else! The lady behind the counter was rubbing her face and then touching the food. They were all rushing , but nothing seemed to be getting done! Probably took around 25 mins from getting in the door to getting our food with only 4 people in front. They were genuinely throwing the salad into the bowl, and half of it missed, so the portion was terrible. I paid over $20 for both of our food, and my partner and I left hungry...

The food was alright. The air inside the shop was stale and suffocating. The staff struggled to understand foreign accents. This Subway is in the heart of a tourist spot so they need training in it.

Stressful experience!They had 3 staff members on shift, floating around chatting with their hands in their pockets and when it finally got busy they started rushing, literally throwing the ingredients at my sub leaving mess everywhere and myself with a half filled sandwich at full price.Not the most hygienic either as one of the women kept rubbing the sweat from her forehead and then buried the same glove back into the ingredients.I'm usually more than satisfied with Subway, but not this one!
