Great coffee and the cheese roll and croissants are top notch! The view is to die for! Make sure you call in at this rustic southern cafe if you’re passing. Definitely worth it!

Stopped in here for a cuppa on our way around the coast. Lovely clean bright well spaced seating area. Fabulous displays of arts, crafts and books for sale also. Definitely going back for lunch.

Good selection of food in the cold case (plus vegetarian options), okay coffee, but the service is just terrible. I don't expect someone to have a smile plastered on their face 24/7 but not making eye contact or frowning while we order and say thanks/bye is a bit much.

Pretty good coffee. I've tried kitchen food as well as from cabinet. No problems at all. Deffinitely would order again.

Fortrose Cafe and Restaurant
We were about to start the scenic drive at The Catlins near Invercargill and we chanced upon this incredible cafe. Clean with Rustic log house interiors , cheerful staff and the drinks they produced - ARTWORK. It was a refreshing experience. So if you are driving down from Dunedin to Invercargill or the other way , highly recommend a stopover at this cafe.

Nice to look out over the beautiful bay at Fortrose while having a delicious lunch. Good value for money. Mum loved the seafood chowder.
