Nice spot for freedom camping with a decent amount of spaces. Nice walk/cycle track which continues to the Omokoroa esplanade and joins up with other tracks leading back to Tauranga. Lovely scenery.

Expect the unexpected.. The area is superb for bird watching and photography.. Look at the tide timings before you visit. The elusive rail, kaka can be seen here

It's a beautiful place to sit down with your family or go for a walk. I love going down there especially because it has a great view of the sunset and sunrise

Quiet and sheltered warm sunny weather this morning at the reserve. A protected native bird reserve there has been a few upgrades since I last walked here, very nice.

For those who like more privacy than crowded beach. There are some swings, and a little garden. Is especially nice on high tide. It connects to a big walk aswell.
